I would like to extend my congratulations on your re-election as President of the Republic of Zambia. Your victory reflects the trust that many Zambians have placed in your leadership for the next five years.
The UK and Zambia share a long-standing friendship which is rooted in our Commonwealth ties and our people-to-people links.
We have worked together on many shared priorities in recent years, in support of economic growth, resilience and opportunity; protecting global peace, including in Ukraine; and the clean energy transition.
As the UK’s new Foreign Secretary, I look forward to continuing our partnership in the years ahead.
