Iran’s Supreme Leader Calls for Muslim Unity Against U.S. and Israel
Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has called on Muslim countries, particularly those in West Asia and the Gulf, to unite against the United States and Israel.
In a written message released on August 30 during Islamic Unity Week, Khamenei urged Muslim governments to strengthen cooperation, including mutual defence, and to identify what he described as their “real enemy.”
Khamenei argued that divisions among Muslim countries serve the interests of their adversaries and questioned whether Palestinians would have been left in such a vulnerable position if Muslim nations had been united.
The statement comes six months after the start of the U.S.-Israeli war against Iran, as tensions between Tehran, Washington, Israel and Gulf states remain high.
Khamenei’s appeal specifically targeted Gulf Arab rulers, calling on them to stand together against external interference and strengthen unity among Muslim states.
