Qualifications needed to become Zimbabwean President👇

▪ You must be at least 40 years old.
▪ You must be a registered voter.
▪ You must be someone who lives in Zimbabwe.

▪️ Someone born in Zimbabwe, OR if you were born outside Zimbabwe, one of your parents or grandparents must be Zimbabwean.

💧 No academic qualifications required!
Voters judge you based on what you offer them, either through a manifesto or “vote-buying.” Ideally, that is how people choose their President. But in Zimbabwean politics, persuasion is not always the only factor that determines the outcome. As General Sanyatwe put it, 👇

“We will make you vote for us through command voting.” Ofcourse the voting for the president will now take place in parliament.

Unwritten requirements👇

1▪️ You need MONEY.
2▪️ You need THE GUN.
3▪️ You need CHARISMA.
However, you don’t need all three. You need at least 2 out of these 3 to become President, (any combination of the three). If you study Zimbabwean politics from 1980 to this day, you’ll find that my assessment holds.

You’re disqualified if:👇

▪️ You have already served 2 presidential terms.
👀 Serving 3 years or more counts as a full term.
