FiRE RIPS THROUGH BUSEKO MARKET, MILLIONS WORTH OF PROPERTY DESTROYED
Lusaka, Zambia – Zambia’s largest timber market, Buseko Market, is on fire.

The inferno broke out this evening and has so far destroyed goods worth millions of Kwacha, reducing stalls, timber, and other merchandise to ashes.
Firefighters from Lusaka City Council are currently on the scene battling to contain the blaze. The full extent of the damage is yet to be established.
No casualties have been reported yet, but traders are counting huge losses as flames continue to consume shops.
Authorities are yet to establish the cause of the fire.
