IRAN SAYS IT STRUCK US TROOPS AT UAE BASE WITH DRONES
Iran’s military announced it launched dozens of explosive drones at Al Minhad Air Base in the United Arab Emirates early Monday. The army said the attack targeted areas where US helicopters and personnel are stationed.
The UAE has not commented on the claim.
The strike was retaliation for a US attack on Iran’s Larak Island on Sunday. Washington said its forces hit two IRGC rocket launchers preparing to fire sea mines into the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran says the strike killed and wounded IRGC members and civilians.
The assault on the UAE came hours after Iran’s IRGC launched missile and drone attacks on two bases hosting US forces in Jordan. A supertanker has also reportedly caught fire after hitting mines near the strait.
The tit-for-tat escalation shows no sign of slowing.
One strike. One response. Another strike. Another response.
What happens when the next attack lands.
