Mr President, Please Release The Dove On your Inauguration:As A Sign Of Peace, Unity, And God’s Blessings Fot Zambia
Your Excellency, Dr Hakainde Hichilema
Now a new chapter for Zambia begins.
As you take the oath at Heroes Stadium, I humbly join millions of Zambians to ask: Please release the doves.
It may look like a small act. But in Zambia, it speaks a very big language.
WHY RELEASE THE DOVES, MR. PRESIDENT?
1. A DECLARATION OF PEACE
Zambia has just come through a season of campaigns, debates, and tension. The dove is the world’s sign of peace. When you release it, you are telling every Zambian — PF, UPND, Socialist, Citizens First, Tonse —Pamodzi, “The fighting is over. Peace begins now.”
After a contested election, the nation needs to see peace with their own eyes.
2. A SYMBOL OF UNITY: ONE ZAMBIA, ONE NATION
One flock, flying in one direction.
That is us. 73 tribes. One flag. One destiny.
By releasing doves, you remind us of President KK’s vision: One Zambia, One Nation. You are President not of one party, but of all Zambians.
3. AN ACT OF PRAYER AND GOD’S BLESSING
Zambia is a Christian Nation.
In Scripture, the dove represents the Holy Spirit. At Jesus’ baptism, the Spirit came down like a dove.
When you release doves, you are saying: “God, I cannot lead this nation alone. I need Your wisdom, Your guidance, Your hand upon Zambia.”
It commits your presidency to God before the nation and the world.
4. A MESSAGE OF HOPE AND A NEW BEGINNING.
Just as Noah’s dove returned with an olive branch, the dove says: “There is new life. There is a future.”
To the job seeker, the farmer, the marketeer, the student — the flying doves say: “Hope has taken flight in Zambia again.”
5. A SIGNAL TO AFRICA AND THE WORLD
The world will be watching. When doves rise over Heroes Stadium, the message is clear: “Zambia is stable. Zambia is peaceful. Zambia is open for business and friendship.”
That is the legacy of KK we must guard. An island of peace in a sea of nations.
MR. PRESIDENT, THE PEOPLE NEED TO SEE IT
Speeches are important. Policies are important. But sometimes people need a picture they will never forget.
Children will remember: “I saw the President release doves on the day he was sworn in.”
That image will preach peace longer than any speech.
We are not asking for politics. We are asking for prophecy.
A prophecy that under your leadership, Zambia will be a house of peace, unity, and God’s favor.
As you take this high office, may your leadership be covered by the same Spirit the dove represents.
Mr. President, Zambia awaits seeing you release the doves on your inauguration. 🕊️🇿🇲

What we need is not symbolism or doves but rather a change of heart on the part of opposition who spend time unduly criticising the government and in sone cases inciting the public to rebel.
The opposition must mature and offer meaningful checks and balances not the kind of propaganda we have witnessed. Their talk is often divisive and destructive to the cohesion of our country.
The pettiness of our opposition is astounding. Unfortunately, the average Zambian lacks critical thinking to really question some of the unwholesome talk that is the hallmark of most opposition leaders.
