BREAKING: RFK Jr. and Dr. Oz Get Into a Bizarre Standoff Over Who Gets to Stand Closest to Trump

Two grown men in an Oval Office event spent a full minute and a half fighting over a parking spot next to the president.

During Monday’s hour-long pharmaceutical pricing event, RFK Jr. tried to walk back to his position near Trump. Dr. Oz physically blocked him from returning to the spot. For a minute and a half, Oz held the position, keeping Kennedy out, before finally stepping back and handing things off to Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, letting Kennedy return. The two then exchanged a brief, inaudible moment, Kennedy saying something to Oz, who leaned in and whispered something back.

The whole exchange played out in front of Trump, who at points during the gathering appeared to nod off with his eyes closed, something White House staffers have reportedly been trying to manage by shortening presentations during events like this one.

The event itself was billed as a serious policy announcement, nine new agreements with pharmaceutical manufacturers aimed at lowering prescription drug prices. Instead, the moment people are talking about is two cabinet-level officials jockeying for position like it’s a photo op at a wedding.

Adults appointed to run federal health policy, spending real time and real air in the Oval Office fighting over proximity to the boss. Some things really don’t need a caption.
