BRE URGES PEACE AND UNITY AFTER ELECTIONS
The Barotse Royal Establishment – BRE- has called on Zambians to maintain peace and unity following the 2026 general elections.
BRE Ngambela MUKELA MANYANDO, says traditional leaders, political players, the clergy and other stakeholders have a responsibility to safeguard the peace the country has enjoyed.
In an interview with ZNBC News, Ngambela MANYANDO said successful and unsuccessful candidates should encourage their supporters to accept the election outcome and desist from violence and hate speech.
He said Zambia must now focus on national unity and development, stressing that peace is essential for economic growth, individual freedoms and effective governance.
