IRAN LAUNCHES NEW MISSILE WAVE AT US BASES
Iran launched missiles toward US military bases in the region on Tuesday evening, according to Iran’s semi-official Tasnim news agency. The report has not been officially confirmed.
The reported launch follows a series of tit-for-tat strikes that began on Sunday, when the US struck Iranian missile launchers on Larak Island. Iran retaliated by firing at least eight ballistic missiles at US forces in Jordan, targeting the King Hussein and Al-Azraq air bases.
US President Donald Trump has vowed to retaliate, saying We’re going to hit them hard.
The US and Jordan say all incoming missiles were intercepted. But satellite images reportedly show damage to an aircraft hangar at Jordan’s Muwaffaq Salti Air Base. Iran claims its strikes caused heavy damage.
The cycle of escalation is accelerating.
How many more rounds of strikes will it take before both sides realise this war has no off-ramp.
