PUTIN: RUSSIA AND UKRAINE MUST REACH AN AGREEMENT TO END THE WAR
Russian President Vladimir Putin said today that the only way to bring the war in Ukraine to an end is for Russia and Ukraine themselves to reach an agreement.
According to Putin, other countries can play an important supporting role in facilitating a settlement, but cannot replace direct negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv

Putin’s remarks underline Moscow’s position that a lasting settlement must ultimately come through an agreement between the two sides, while major powers such as the United States and China could help support and facilitate the peace process.
