KAUNDA VOWS TO SERVE LIMA FOR ONLY ONE TERM
By Mike Mwendachabe
Lima Constituency newly elected Member of Parliament Kelvin Kaunda says he intends to serve the constituency for only five years and will not seek to remain in leadership indefinitely.
Speaking to Diamond TV after being sworn in, Mr Kaunda says he believes leadership should not be held by one person in perpetuity.
Mr Kaunda says by the end of his first term, he hopes the necessary groundwork will have been done to nurture someone who can take over the leadership of Lima Constituency.
He says Lima does not necessarily need a superhero as a leader, but someone who can provide effective leadership and deliver for the people.
Mr Kaunda says his focus will therefore be on serving the constituency effectively during his five-year tenure and preparing the next generation of leadership.
