Zelensky Condemns “Horrific” Russian Strikes Using Upgraded Shahed Drones
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has condemned what he described as “horrific” Russian strikes carried out Tuesday using missiles and upgraded Iranian-designed Shahed drones.
The attacks reportedly hit multiple targets across Ukraine, including media facilities, with some journalists caught on air as strikes unfolded
Zelensky called on Europe and the international community to respond, warning that Russia could escalate its attacks further if it is not stopped.
“Europe and the world must absolutely respond. No strike against Ukraine and Ukrainians, against life itself, can remain unpunished. Russia must be stopped, and this is possible only through joint efforts,” Zelensky said.
The Ukrainian president’s remarks come amid continued Russian aerial attacks involving large numbers of missiles and drones, as Kyiv urges its international partners to strengthen support for Ukraine’s air defenses.
