PETITION AGAINST HON. CHIPOKA MULENGA WITHDRAWN
We wish to inform the public that the election petition brought by Mr. Boris Chansa against Hon. Chipoka Mulenga has been withdrawn.
The matter came before Hon. Judge L. Mwanabo at the Kitwe High Court this morning. Counsel for the petitioner, Mr. Mainsa, made an application before the Court seeking leave to withdraw the petition.
Hon. Chipoka Mulenga, represented by Counsel Michael Moono, did not object to the application for withdrawal.
The Court subsequently granted the Order for Withdrawal, bringing the petition to an end.
We welcome the conclusion of this matter and thank all supporters, party members and members of the public who remained patient while the legal process took its course.
The focus must now return to service, development and delivering for the people.
