Saudi Arabia and Israel Reportedly Discuss Cooperation Against Houthi Attacks
Saudi Arabia and Israel have reportedly held discussions on ways to help Riyadh counter attacks by the Houthis, according to diplomatic sources cited by The Jerusalem Post.
The talks are reportedly being facilitated by U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), whose commander met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to discuss security cooperation and efforts to address the Houthi threat to Saudi Arabia’s national security.
The Houthis have intensified attacks on Saudi targets, including oil infrastructure and pipelines. The group has also claimed control over strategic areas near the Bab al-Mandeb Strait, a vital shipping route connecting the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden.
Any potential Saudi-Israeli security cooperation could mark a significant development in the regional conflict and further reshape security dynamics around the Red Sea.
