UPDATE: The Turkish Embassy officials in Kampala have released a statement informing the general public that the Embassy will close on Friday, Sept. 18, 2026, due to an expected protest nearby.

Statehouse sources say that top government officials are having sleepless nights over Lumbuye social media updates saying they put the security of the country and leaders at risk.
