APPOINT MUSHIMBWA GARDNER, CHINGOLA UPND MEMBERS CALL ON PRESIDENT HH.

Some UPND members in Chingola District on the Copperbelt have appealed to Republican President Hakainde Hichilema to consider appointing Mushimbwa Muyupi Gardner to public office.
According to some party members and supporters, Mrs. Gardner has remained loyal to the party and to President Hichilema’s leadership despite not being adopted on several occasions.
Some members cited her loyalty dating back to the PF regime, recalling an incident when President Hichilema was almost shot and she hosted him at Ruby Golf View Lodge in Chingola.
Mrs. Gardner contested as Councillor during a by-election in Bupalo Ward under Nchanga Constituency and later aspired to stand as Mayor for Chingola, but the party adopted Ms. Romana Mambo, who lost to Mr. Nelius Mumba in the just-ended general elections.
The members said Mrs. Gardner deserves recognition for her continued commitment and sacrifice for the party.
