UN Security Council Condemns Continued Houthi Attacks on Saudi Arabia

The United Nations Security Council has strongly condemned the continued attacks carried out by the Houthi movement against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Council reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s right to defend itself under international law, amid ongoing security tensions and repeated attacks attributed to the Iran-backed Houthi movement.

The Security Council stressed the need to protect civilians and critical infrastructure, while calling for an end to attacks that threaten regional security and stability.

The latest statement comes as tensions continue to rise across the Red Sea and the wider region, with concerns growing over the potential impact of Houthi attacks on Saudi territory, maritime security and regional trade routes.
