Turkey Says It Is Closely Monitoring Saudi Arabia’s Security Situation
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said Turkey is a member of the Mecca alliance and is closely monitoring the security situation facing Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦.
🔸 Fidan said Saudi Arabia has faced heavy attacks targeting critical infrastructure, as well as what he described as violations of the Kingdom’s unity and territorial sovereignty.
🔸 He stressed that the countries participating in the alliance share a responsibility to stand by one another when a member faces security threats. Fidan also said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is a leader who follows through on his commitments.
🔸 Fidan added that Turkey is conducting its own assessment of the situation and is closely analyzing developments before determining what steps, if any, Ankara should take.
His comments come amid heightened regional tensions and growing attention to the security of Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East.
