SOME KAPATA BUS STATION TRADERS ORDERED TO VACATE PREMISES OVER ALLEGED SUPPORT FOR OPPOSITION
Some traders at Kapata Bus Station in Chipata, Eastern Province, have been directed to stop trading at the station, with today reportedly being the deadline for them to vacate, for allegedly supporting the opposition in the August 13th general elections.
Speaking to Phoenix News, the affected traders have expressed disappointment over the directive allegedly issued by the UPND leadership in the province.
One of the traders alleged that she was ordered to stop trading after her shop was accused of playing a song associated with the opposition National Reconciliation Party for Unity and Prosperity -NRPUP-, while some traders have already left the station following the directive, with others alleged to have been allowed to continue trading after making payments.
