ZELENSKYY: RUSSIA HAS USED CITIZENS FROM 47 COUNTRIES IN THE WAR IN UKRAINE
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, speaking at the United Nations General Assembly, said Russia has used citizens from 47 countries in its war against Ukraine.
Zelenskyy said those recruited or involved include citizens from countries such as Kenya, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Sudan, South Africa, Yemen, Belarus, Nepal, Tajikistan and India, among others.
Addressing representatives of the 47 countries, Zelenskyy said: “You know what Russia is doing to your people. Protect your citizens and do not allow them to end up dying on another battlefield.”
He called on the governments of those countries to take action to protect their nationals from being recruited and sent to fight in the war in Ukraine.
