Zelenskyy Says North Korea Preparing 10,000 More Troops for Russia
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says North Korea is preparing to send another 10,000 troops to Russia to support Moscow’s war against Ukraine.
Zelenskyy said the new contingent is currently being selected and prepared for training before being deployed to Russia.
He also claimed that more than 8,000 North Korean troops remain inside Russian territory, based on what he described as new intelligence on North Korea’s military support for Moscow.
The reported deployment would further deepen military cooperation between Pyongyang and Moscow, which has already seen North Korean forces participate in combat alongside Russian troops.
The figures and reported preparations have not been independently verified.
