Take us to Lusaka court, for easy access to witnesses, demands Mundubile

NRPUP presidential candidate Brian Mundubile and running mate Makebi Zulu have raised a preliminary issue challenging the jurisdiction of the Solwezi Magistrate’s Court to hear the seditious practices case against them.

Meanwhile, scores of people gathered outside the Solwezi Magistrate Court to show support for Mundubile and Zulu as they appeared in court.

In this matter, Mundubile is alleged to have made a Facebook post claiming that the NRPUP was leading the election according to the Parallel Vote Tabulation (PVT) and called on the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) to resume vote counting after the process was suspended.

Meanwhile, Zulu is accused of posting that Mundubile would address the nation and urging the public to remain on standby, News Diggers reports.

  1. But where was the crime reported? The person that reaported the matter of sedition made the report in Solwezi. So why the debate?

    • The issue is the witnesses….isnt it. Jay Jay Banda has told us that the PF has deep pockets and has the Police on its payroll.
Why should then be hard for them to transport their witnesses to Solwezi? They seem to afford to extend their hand into state institutions?

  2. Witnesses are not the issue.
These chaps wants a big rented mob whenever they appear in court. Lusaka has the numbers.

Witnesses must travel to attend court regardless of how far away the court is.
    That is not an issue.
