A Tanzanian socialite known as Poshy Queen has found herself at the centre of online chatter after releasing a video purportedly showing private Instagram direct messages she allegedly received from the late Zimbabwean businessman Wicknell Chivayo.
The clip, filmed in what appears to be a bedroom setting with white bedding and curtains, shows a smartphone screen displaying Instagram DMs. The tone of the video is candid and gossipy, consistent with social media exposé content.
Among the messages shown, the sender can allegedly be seen writing compliments such as “you are beautiful” and “you are so perfect,” while also expressing a desire to connect further.
Why Pushy Queen released the chats
Now The timing of the leak has drawn significant attention. Queen chose to share the alleged messages following Chivayo’s death, which occurred on September 30 when a private helicopter he was travelling in crashed in the Marondera rural area, approximately 70 kilometres east of Harare.
All five people on board perished in the tragedy, including Chivayo, his wife Lucy Muteke, two pilots, and a security aide. The group had been making their way back to Harare after visiting the family’s rural home in Gandami, Chikomba district.
Chivayo ignored
According to Pushy Queen, the alleged messages were sent to her repeatedly over several years, yet she claims she did not respond or reciprocate the interest.
Her decision to go public with the chats after Chivayo’s passing has attracted widespread commentary online, with many questioning her motive for releasing them at such a sensitive time for his family.
Chivayo, widely known by the nickname “Sir Wicknell,” was one of Zimbabwe’s most prominent and controversial businessmen, frequently in the public eye for his lavish lifestyle, political connections, and high-profile spending.
