BREAKING: Zelensky Criticizes Trump Administration Over Reported Economic Dealings With Russia
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has criticized the Trump administration for seeking economic agreements with Russia while describing diplomatic efforts to resolve the war in Ukraine as being at an impasse.
“We cannot, on the one hand, negotiate future economic projects with the Russians and, on the other, say that we are in a kind of diplomatic deadlock,” Zelensky said, describing the approach as a sign of “bad faith.”
According to claims attributed to Western intelligence sources, Russia has reportedly explored the possibility of securing Washington’s support or neutrality through large-scale commercial agreements.
The reported proposals could include future projects related to Ukraine’s reconstruction, the exploitation of strategic mineral resources in the Arctic, and potential cooperation on a future joint mission to Mars, possibly involving Elon Musk.
The allegations have raised questions about whether major economic incentives could influence Washington’s approach to Moscow as diplomatic efforts to end the war remain uncertain.
