MWEEMBA, HAMOONGA SWAP POLICE COMMISSIONER POSTS IN LATEST TRANSFER.
By Ezron Miti
Eastern Province Police Commissioner Robertson Mweemba has been transferred to the Copperbelt Province in a swap of postings with Rae Hamoonga.
Mweemba, who has headed the Eastern Province Police Command since May 2024, is leaving the province after more than two years of service. He took over from Limpo Liywali
Hamoonga will now take over as Eastern Province Police Commissioner, barely three months after being transferred to the Copperbelt in July this year, where he replaced Mwala Yuyi.
The latest changes will see the two senior police officers swap provincial commands, with Mweemba heading to the Copperbelt while Hamoonga will be heading to Eastern Province.
