WATCH: DAVIES MWILA PUSHED TO THE GROUND BY SUSPECTED UPND CADRES.
Former Patriotic Front Secretary General Davies Mwila was pushed to the ground by suspected United Party for National Development (UPND) cadres today outside the Supreme Court.
The incident happened shortly after the hearing of the Lima Constituency election petition.
In the video, Mr Mwila is seen struggling to get back on his feet as a group of people surrounds him.
The incident raises fresh questions about political tolerance and the safety of opposition figures, particularly given the UPND’s public commitment to fighting cadreism.
Zambians will be watching closely to see whether the incident will be investigated and those responsible held accountable.

There’s no visual evidence that anybody pushed the frail Mwila down. He should concentrate on his recovery and well-being. Besides, Mwila may be agitating as he seeks relevance in a different Zambia without the PF. His competitors are simply reminding him that he can’t have it both ways: his time to wield power anyhow has passed.
What did he do or say which led to that incident? But it’s very sad to see that the fracas happened within the Court building and no quick intervention was done. We’re there no Police officers around? Regardless of their party affiliation, the culprits should be brought to book. And my advice to ba 6 points, please start weaning yourself from politics, namukula nomba, you saw how an energetic young man easily pushed you to the ground. There’s life after politics and you lose nothing by retiring.
The man should have left politics completely in 2021 after PF was defeated.
