Ilhan Omar’s Sister Talks to Feds After Phone Seized, Book Tour Canceled, and Business Address Tied to Massive Minnesota Fraud

Sahra Noor, the older sister of Rep. Ilhan Omar, voluntarily sat down with federal agents last week. This came right after agents raided Omar’s Washington, D.C. home in an immigration fraud probe that has already swept up phones, a passport, computers, and family texts. Noor lives in Kenya now. She was in the United States pushing her memoir “Salt in the Snow: A Somali Immigrant Story,” which she frames as her version of the American dream. Then she canceled her Minnesota stop, citing a family emergency, and the questions started piling up.

A Fox News commentator put the timeline bluntly: “Jonathan, think about this. You know, she’s currently on a book tour, and it’s a memoir about her time immigrating to the United States. It’s kind of her version of the American dream. She now lives in Kenya. So I’ve wondered what caused her to move there. You know, she incorporated her business—she’s a healthcare consultant—in 2022, and according to a Daily Wire report, that business was incorporated at the same address affiliated with some people who were convicted in that massive Feeding Our Future fraud scheme out of Minnesota, which is the largest COVID-era fraud scheme in U.S. history, actually.”

Daily Wire reporting showed Noor registered Grit Partners Consulting at a Lakeville home. State records connect that same address to Diversity Childcare Center and to individuals tied to Aimee Bock, the ringleader later sentenced to more than 41 years in the $250 million Feeding Our Future case. Bock’s operation billed taxpayers for meals that never reached children. Noor’s firm claims it secured more than $20 million for health initiatives and consulted on projects involving USAID, the CDC, and others. She has not been charged. The shared address is not a conviction. It is a documented fact that sits next to the rest of the timeline.

The same commentator continued: “So sometime between then and now, she moved to Kenya, her phone was seized, she’s canceled the latest stop on her book tour, and now we’re hearing that she was questioned and spoke to federal agents voluntarily. So something, something’s going on here.”

Investigators had already taken Noor’s phone earlier in the probe. Family texts on that phone helped secure the warrant for the pre-dawn search of Omar’s home, according to reporting. Omar’s own phone, passport, and computers were seized during the raid. Sources say the investigation centers on possible false statements in Omar’s citizenship paperwork, including questions about age and family relationships that could open the door to denaturalization if proven. Noor spoke to agents voluntarily. The scope of that conversation is not public.

Omar called the raid an outrageous abuse of power. Her sister canceled the Rochester event at the University of Minnesota. The bookstore said it was a family emergency. The timing landed in the middle of the raid fallout and the voluntary interview. Noor remains in Kenya. Her consulting business, the Lakeville address link, the seized phone, the canceled stop, and the federal conversation are all on the record. The largest pandemic-era fraud scheme in American history involved Somali networks in Minnesota billing for phantom meals. Omar’s sister incorporated at an address state records tie to figures in that scheme, then left for Kenya. Federal agents are asking questions about the family. The pattern is not subtle.-DTP
