ECL REMOVED FROM LIST OF ZAMBIAN PRESIDENTS BY DAILY MAIL.
The Zambia Daily Mail, a government-owned publication, has come under criticism after leaving out former President Edgar Chagwa Lungu from a list of presidents Zambia has had while celebrating 62 Years of independence.
The publication featured images of the incumbent President, Hakainde Hichilema, alongside former Presidents Michael Chilufya Sata, Frederick Titus Chiluba, Rupiah Bwezani Banda and Levy Patrick Mwanawasa.
However, the omission of Lungu has sparked criticism among Zambians, who are questioning why the former Head of State was left out of the list.
Some critics have described the omission as unfortunate, arguing that personal differences or political hostility should not overshadow the recognition of Zambia’s history and the leaders who have served as President.
The controversy has since raised questions about whether the omission was deliberate or simply an oversight by the publication.
