LUAMPA MP MAKOZO CHIKOTE CASTIGATES BAROTSE CHIEFS AND LITUNGA OVER LAND FOR DEVELOPMENT…IN HIS MAIDEN SPEECH IN PARLIAMENT…

EYEING FOR ANOTHER MINISTERIAL POST, not so Honorable, Honorable MAKOZO CHIKOTE castigated Barotse chiefs for less development in Barotseland formerly Western province of Zambia.

Mr MAKOZO CHIKOTE was minister of Livestock and fisheries during HH’s first term of office.

Uncertain wether he’ll be reappointed or not, MAKOZO CHIKOTE took advantage to sell himself to the powers that be for a possible reappointment even after failing to deliver in his previous ministerial post.

MAKOZO CHIKOTE told parliament that Land restrictions in Western province has derailed development in the semi autonomous region of Zambia Viz a Viz Barotseland Agreement 64.

Mr CHIKOTE stressed that; Barotse chiefs are clinging to their Land like a tick clinging to a cow’s skin, instead of selling the Land to potential investors.

With a different Land policy, 99 percent of land in Barotseland belongs to the Litunga and not the president of Zambia.

Having lived in Lusaka, which is largely a demented society, MAKOZO CHIKOTE, through his political dementia has forgotten that; The land to build King LEWANIKA university was given to Government, but the government has failed, to the land to build an international airport was given to Government, but the government has so far failed to build an international airport, the land for cashew nut project, was given to the government but the project has become a white elephant.

The land to build an industrial yard, was given to Government but the industrial yard has become a white elephant.so why is MAKOZO CHIKOTE castigating Barotse chiefs?

Right now, Zambians are complaining the Foreigners now do hold more land than indigenous Zambians which is a worrying trajectory.

Mr MAKOZO CHIKOTE should use other means if his objective is to be reappointed as Minister despite failing to deliver when he was given chance.
