Trump Unloads on Out-of-Shape Reuters Reporter for Pushing Sick Narrative
President Trump had zero patience for a Reuters reporter who ambushed him on an airport tarmac with a loaded question about why he was skipping a Kansas stop. After weeks of nonstop campaigning, the reporter asked if the decision had anything to do with Trump being sick. Trump shut it down immediately.
“Oh, you’re sick to ask that question. You are sick. Who are you with?” Trump fired back. When the reporter identified himself as being with Reuters, Trump kept going. “You are a sick guy. Reuters is terrible, by the way. Can you imagine? Look at this guy, he’s way out of shape. Look at how badly.
Trump made clear the Kansas decision had nothing to do with his health or energy level. “I’m not going to Kansas because he’s doing very well. We’re going to do a tele-rally. Tomorrow I’m doing Florida,” he said. He noted the reporter had been trailing him for two weeks of intense travel and still tried the same line. “He says, ‘What’s the reason for this, sir, that you’re not going to Kansas?’ You know what the reason is? I don’t feel I have to go to Kansas. I’m going to Florida tomorrow, and I’ll do, if something else comes up. But he said, ‘You’re not going to Kansas, sir. Are you feeling well?’ You’ve been following me for two weeks. I feel perfect. You are disgusting. Put yourself in shape. You look like hell.”
