YOUTH ACTIVIST CRITICISES APPOINTMENT OF ELVIS NKANDU AS INFORMATION MINISTER

A Monze-based youth, Tobias Chizoma, has criticised the appointment of Elvis Nkandu as Minister of Information and Media, arguing that the position requires someone with strong communication and advocacy skills.

Speaking to Byta FM News, Chizoma says Nkandu is more effective at mobilising support for the ruling party than defending government policies and explaining national issues to the public.

He argued that the Ministry of Information and Media requires a minister who can effectively explain government decisions, articulate policy issues, and defend the government’s position on matters of national interest

Chizoma said having a minister capable of clearly communicating government programs will help amplify public awareness and educate citizens with limited understanding of governance issues.

Meanwhile, Minister of Information and Media Elvis Nkandu has reaffirmed his commitment to publicising government achievements and development programs across the country.

Speaking during his first interaction with ministry workers, Nkandu said President Hakainde Hichilema’s administration had achieved a lot that deserved to be communicated to the public.
