“YOUR HUSBAND IS NOT IMPOTENT, I HAVE A TWO-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER WITH HIM!” CHILABOMBWE WOMAN EXPOSES BEST FRIEND IN ADULTERY DRAMA
A Chilabombwe woman who had spent five years praying for a baby has discovered that her husband was not suffering from a shortage of ammunition but had allegedly been supplying an entire maternity department at her best friend’s house.
Nancy Daka, 29, dragged her best friend, Beauty Musonda, 31, and her husband, Frank Tembo, 33, before the Chilabombwe Local Court after discovering that the man she had spent five years accusing of impotence had fathered a two-year-old daughter with her closest friend.
Nancy told the court that she had been married to Frank for over five years, but their matrimonial bedroom had become a childless construction site, with no foundation successfully laid in her maternity garden
She said she had continued putting her faith in God, believing that one day she would carry a child like Sarah carried Isaac in the Bible.
“Your Honour, I have been believing in God that one day a new Isaac would be planted in me. I kept praying and hoping that one day I would become a mother. Little did I know that my husband’s energy was being diverted to my best friend’s garden. Today she is boasting that she has a two-year-old daughter with my husband,” Nancy narrated.
She explained that Beauty was not just an ordinary friend but someone she had grown up with in Chilabombwe. Their friendship had continued even after they reunited in the same town.
Beauty, a teacher by profession and among the 30,000 teachers recruited under the New Dawn Government, had allegedly been telling Nancy that the father of her daughter was working in Europe.
Whenever Nancy asked about the child’s father, Beauty reportedly maintained that the man was abroad working.
Little did Nancy know that the so-called European businessman was actually her own husband, who was apparently travelling to Beauty’s maternity garden without requiring a passport or an air ticket.
The truth allegedly exploded during Beauty’s daughter’s birthday celebration, where the two friends were enjoying beer.
Nancy told the court that Frank had contributed a substantial amount of money towards the birthday party and was even the person who selected the lodge where the celebrations were held.
While praising her husband for being financially responsible, Nancy made the mistake of opening up about their bedroom problems.
“I was telling my friend that my husband is a responsible man, but the only problem is that he is impotent. That is when Beauty told me, ‘Your husband is not impotent. I know him, and I have a child with him.’
“Your Honour, I was shocked. I forgot that I was even drinking beer. The beer was no longer entering my system. I could not believe that the same friend I had been sharing my marital problems with was the one enjoying the services I had been complaining about,” Nancy said.
Nancy further told the court that what made matters worse was the striking resemblance between Frank and Beauty’s daughter.
She said when she looked at the little girl, she could see her husband’s face staring back at her.
“The eyes, the nose, the forehead and even the facial expressions were exactly like Frank. It was as though someone had taken my husband’s face, pressed the photocopy button and produced a smaller version. I did not need a DNA test to start asking serious questions. The resemblance was too loud to ignore,” she narrated.
When Frank was called to testify, he did not waste time denying the allegations. He admitted that he had indeed been involved with Beauty and acknowledged fathering the two-year-old daughter.
Frank explained that he had indeed been granted an easement by Beauty Musonda, giving him a right of way into her promised land of Canaan, where he allegedly enjoyed access to her child-producing vineyard until a seed was successfully planted.
He further explained that he wanted to establish whether he was truly impotent, as Nancy kept accusing him of being.
“I wanted to know whether I was really impotent because my wife kept complaining that I did not last long in bed. She was always blaming me. I wanted to establish whether the problem was truly mine,” he explained.
The magistrate then turned to Beauty, who was equally given an opportunity to explain why she had allegedly converted her best friend’s husband into a regular visitor at her maternity garden.
Beauty did not deny the affair.
She told the court that Frank had been complaining to her about Nancy’s behaviour and that she eventually gave him what she described as a right of way.
Beauty admitted that the relationship had resulted in the birth of their two-year-old daughter, leaving Nancy to face the painful reality that the woman she trusted enough to discuss her bedroom frustrations with was allegedly the same woman who had been enjoying her husband’s services.
After hearing the parties, the magistrate ruled that the marriage had broken down beyond repair and granted the divorce.
The court further ordered the two adulterous parties to pay Nancy K30,000 in compensation, while the matrimonial property was ordered to be shared equally between Nancy and Frank.
For Nancy, the biggest shock was not simply discovering that her husband had fathered a child outside their marriage. It was discovering that the woman she trusted enough to discuss her bedroom frustrations with was allegedly the same woman who knew exactly how her husband operate.
