LVIV LIGHTS CANDLES FOR UKRAINE’S FALLEN DEFENDERS
Hundreds of memorial lamps illuminated the graves of Ukraine’s fallen defenders in Lviv on the eve of All Saints’ Day.
According to Lviv City Council, the lights were lit simultaneously across four Fields of Honour at the Lychakiv and Holoskiv cemeteries, where soldiers who gave their lives for Ukraine’s independence are buried.
Each light marks a life that should have continued—a person whose absence is felt at a family table, in a child’s upbringing, among friends and beside those still serving.
Together, the lamps offer a quiet act of remembrance. Beyond the casualty figures are names, faces and futures taken by Russia’s war, and families who carry that loss every day.
Eternal memory to Ukraine’s fallen defenders.
