MAKHADZI STUCK IN A HOTEL AS SHE AWAITS COURT APPEARANCE
South African musician Makhadzi is reportedly stuck at a hotel in Gaborone as she awaits her day in court on 9 November 2026, following a legal dispute with local promoter Gilbert PP Seagile of Gilbert Promotions.
Her passport has reportedly been seized in accordance with a court order, leaving the award-winning artist unable to leave Botswana for now. Talk about an unexpected extended stay!
Seagile is pursuing legal action over alleged breach of contract and reputational damage, following the fallout from their failed One Woman Show scheduled for September 12, 2026.
He also takes issue with allegations made publicly against him, including claims that he stole P1 million.
PP says attempts to resolve the dispute outside court were unsuccessful, leaving the parties to settle the matter through the legal system.
With the next court appearance set for Monday, 9 November, Makhadzi’s Botswana visit has clearly taken an unexpected legal turn. The stage will have to wait; for now, the courtroom is calling!
