SETING THE RECORDS RIGHT.HON FUBE AND HIS YOUNG BROTHER ARE IN CUSTODY ON THE INSTRUCTION FROM THE UPND.
It is shocking that media houses including ZNBC and Joseph Mwenda of Diggers are reporting that Hon Fube is in detention because of being my surety.
I know schools in Zambia teaches people how to read and not to understand what they are reading but here is the full story 👇👇
FACTS.
Police Stormed Hon Fube’s house in Lusaka in the early hours of Sunday.They picked him together with his young brother and initially interrogated him on allegations that he had a Teser gun during the last campaigns in Chilubi where he was recontesting his parliamentary seat.He was then detained at Ridgeway police station while his brother was detained at Kabwata police station.Even though the latest report as of today suggests that Hon Fube has now been charged for assault on an incidence that happened during the campaigns in Chilubi that he Fube says was not even present.
Hon Fube was expected to appear in court yesterday Monday for my seditious matter as my surety but when he informed the police that he was needed at court,they refused to take him to court.
When the matter came up in court yesterday,the Magistrate was informed that Hon Fube could not show up because he was being detained by the police for another issue at which point the magistrate directed that the police brings him to court the following day (Today Tuesday) without fail today to explain why Binwell was not present in court.
Hon Fube today told Magistrate Milumbe that he did not know my whereabouts because i had not told him so for security reasons.It was then that Magistrate Milumbe decided to fine Hon Fube K100,000 failure to which he would be sent to prison for 6 months.
Let me state that Hon Fube and Hon Kangombe were not going to spend any time in Jail today because when my passport was canceled by the UPND government last month,i knew i would not make it to court and so i made arrangements with my lawyers by giving them the money that was going to be demanded from my two sureties.
As we speak the fine charged on Fube has long been paid but he remains detained over the matter he was picked for by the police on sunday together with his young brother.
It should be noted that there is no way i would inconvenience my sureties and let them be punished over my troubles with the law and that is why i made those prior arrangements.
Hon Fube was arrested and remains in detention on account of the continued crackdown on the opposition especially those who supported President Mundubile by the UPND leadership.I Hope that media houses would stop shying around this issue and report the arrest of Hon Fube and Brother as it is.
