Hichilema’s threats and bad language

It’s been 19months since he assumed power.
But his obsessive focus has been on blaming the Patriotic Front and its leaders for all the ills, failures, troubles and faults of the country.
His latest rantings on the Copperbelt is just part of the false narrative that all is not working because of the Patriotic Front, its leaders and its alleged civil servants.
I thought the Constitution guarantees rights and freedoms of individuals?
So now former President Edgar Lungu’s enjoyment of fruits of the Constitution are at the discretion of President Hakainde Hichilema?
When did going to Church become such a mortal sin and crime? A gravely sinful act which can lead to damnation!
President Hichilema must be reminded that Edgar Lungu has a special place in this country as a former Head of State that ruled Zambia for seven years.Further Lungu is the only surviving former president and eldest statesman the country has.
To this effect, he enjoys constitutional immunity and enjoys pensions and benefits as provided for under the Former President’s Benefit Act of 1993.
These benefits come at the instance of the law and not at the discretional choice or favour of President Hichilema.
The nightmare by President Hichilema and his grouping appear to be the knowledge that Lungu is eligible to stand for another term, hence every move, even a visit to Church is translated to mean that he is engaged in active politics.
Lungu has repeatedly stated that he has retired from active politics and is waiting for the Patriotic Front party to elect his successor as provided for under the party statutes.
President Hichilema has a country to run, a country engulfed in high cost of living, public debt, poverty, unemployment, critical shortages of medicines and medical supplies, high cost of food prices and food insecurity, and the earlier he expends his energy towards the multiple crises than focus on the Patriotic Front and the former President, the better the country will be.
