Iran’s Defiant FM: No Temporary Truce, We Demand Total Victory or Endless Fight
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi delivered a hardline message in a recent interview, making clear Tehran isn’t interested in any short-term pause with the US and Israel.
“We do not want a ceasefire because we do not want this scenario to be repeated again after some time. Rather, we want the war to end completely and permanently,” Araghchi stated firmly.
He stressed that any resolution must come with ironclad guarantees: “We seek an end to the war on our own terms, of course, and in a way that it will not be repeated here again.” Araghchi added that Iran is ready to keep fighting “as long as necessary” and can sustain the conflict for “at least six months.”
The regime’s top diplomat blamed the US for starting the war and demanded compensation for damages while rejecting any notion of ongoing negotiations. Contacts with Washington, he said, amount only to messages through mediators, not real talks.
