Iran’s President Questions ‘America First’, Says War Serves Israel More Than U.S. Interests

In a letter addressed to the American public, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian raised questions over whether the “America First” doctrine truly reflects U.S. priorities, or if current policies are being shaped by other strategic interests.

He argued that the ongoing conflict with Iran does not serve the long-term interests of the United States, suggesting instead that it aligns more closely with the objectives of Israel. The message calls on Americans to look beyond political narratives and reassess how Iran is perceived on the global stage.

According to Pezeshkian, portraying Iran as a primary threat is driven more by political and economic agendas among decision-makers than by objective reality. He also maintained that Iran’s recent military actions should be viewed as acts of “legitimate self-defense,” rather than aggression.

The statement highlights a broader effort by Tehran to influence international perception, particularly among Western audiences, as tensions in the region continue to escalate.
