VIEWPOINT: IS POLITICS UNFAIR TO THE LIKES OF MWALITETA & BO MUBITA NAWA
Dear Mr President
Loyalty is what defines how we relate with one another in politics and basically it is the only determining factor on who should be around us, Sir you Appointed Mubita Nawa from the Private Sector to be part of your Team as As Advisor for Special Duties a position which is very senior and admirable to many. But that didn’t make him immune to making mistakes, I can confirm that walking in the corridors of power is the most difficult thing more especially when you are new to the entire system Mubita Nawa might have made some mistakes along the way but deep down we can all tell that his loyalty for President HH can never be a questioned in any way!!
I remember my first days through the corridors of power and how many mistakes I made, my Elder
Brothers Kaizer Zulu and Amos Chanda can attest how hard it was to Mentor me through out the entire journey of endless protocols, rules, values and serious principles to uphold each time I walked with them and the Entire Presidency. My Journey through out President Lungu’s leadership was never short of mistakes but what mattered the most were the lessons I learnt from my mistakes and how I picked up each time I fell.. Power comes with a lot of things which requires one to be extremely patient and tolerant more especially to his servants and people surrounding him. Mr President please forgive this Gentleman if he has wronged you in anyway. Usually the sad part about Politics is that people who labor the most for political success never really get the much deserved rewards. It’s just what it is
Usually when I talk about Loyalty the first Name that comes to my mind Is Hon Obvious Mwaliteta, this man was one of the first people who fought tirelessly for President Edgar Lungu in 2015 during the struggle for party Leadership. Hon Mwaliteta was the first person who signed the book to petition then President Guy Scott to step down and allow President Lungu to Stand on the PF ticket, sadly after PF won He was one of the People who was frustrated by Greedy leaders who were not even part of the struggle. Let’s face it even when he joined the UPND Mwaliteta was unfairly Jailed Several times because of his unconditional love and loyalty for President HH but were is he today. I don’t know the President’s plan but honestly I think Politics is too unfair more especially to people who fight tirelessly with there lives. I only wish one day that the President can look at the people who died a little for him when the Presidency was far from his reach!!
