LUNGU FAMILY READY TO TALK WITH GOVERNMENT DEPENDING ON GENUINENESS – MAKEBI
RESPECTED lawyer Makebi Zulu says president Edgar Lungu’s family will not participate in anything that does not constitute a dignified send off for the former head of state.
And Zulu says the Lungu family was holding up amidst the difficult circumstances, stating that they are devoted to prayer and spiritual counselling.
Recently, government appointed Secretary to Cabinet Patrick Kangwa as the only person authorised to speak on Lungu’s burial disputes.
In an interview, Zulu, who is the Lungu family spokesperson, said they were hoping that there would be some engagements with government depending on the genuineness of their statements.
He however said the family was ready to dialogue with government, although the issue was what would constitute a dignified send off.

I don’t even know what they mean by dignified send off. Burying him in a foreign land secretly with no meaningful military send off; no foreign and Zambian dignitaries; no national anthem played for the foreign hero, no body viewing is what constitutes dignified send off Mr Zulu. As you engage in those prayers, please open where it says humility and forgiveness is what God listens to. Don’t cheat your self you are holding by hating one person with a passion. Enough is enough, you have played your last card. It is shameful really what has transpired.
The starting point should be to replace Makebi Zulu with a close family member of the late ECL.
This a very different tone for the Lungu family from their usual arrogance. But they are still so full of themselves. I hope the government doesn’t respond to this BS. Let them lose the court case and then agree on terms of the burial. They are so full of shit.
