Bill 10 Collapsed Because HH Locked Up UPND MPs At His Residence -Mundubile

MUNDUBILE SAID THE BILL COLLAPSED BECAUSE HH LOCKED UP UPND MPs AT HIS RESIDENCE
PF chief Whip hon MUNDUBILE on ZNBC Sunday interview program said the bill collapsed because HH locked up UPND MPs at his residence. He said they had organised 10 UPND MPs to vote for the bill but because HH locked them up, they could not turn up to vote.
He further said Zambians have lost out an opportunity to have a new constitution that was supposed to see an equal representation of the disabled people, women and youths in parliament.

Bubbling with dimming confidence, he said PF will win 2021 general elections wether bill 10 has collapsed, and he said Zambians will rise against UPND for denying them an opportunity to have a new constitution.

Hon MUNDUBILE is a lawyer and a chief Whip, but to see him lying was a shocking scene and it goes by to say that if the Chief whip can lie, then the intention of Bill 10 was more evil than anyone had thought off.

QUESTIONS

~ How can older people be locked up against their will?
How locked up were they when we watched them streaming live seated waiting for the speaker of the nation assembly to announce the verdict.

~Why lie that delimitation of constituencies will not take place because bill 10 has collapsed when delimitation provision is already in the 2016 constitution, Article 58 and 59?
~Was Bill 10 magically going to make youths, women and the disabled become MPs and give a good representation in Parliament?
Why doesn’t ECL nominate more youths and have an equal representation of youths in parliament?

~We know that the current constitution does not bar the disabled, youths and women to stand for parliamentary seats, and why can’t PF regime encourage them to apply?
~Zambia was declared a Christian nation and what more does PF want? Does PF think by declaring Zambia a Christian nation once more then stealing and looting of public resources by PF regime will end?

We have always said we have llars in governance and everything they dream and think is lying to cover up their misdeeds and here is hon MUNDUBILE lying to Zambians that HH locked up UPND MPs that is why Bill 10 collapsed.

They openly lied that they had mobilized 10 UPND MPs to pass the Bill but their shame that number was no near and cover up, they are now living that HH locked them up.
Not even a stupid fool would believe the cheap propaganda from someone being called a chief Whip.
Surely PF leadership has lost shame such that lying has become their main stay in governance.
Zambians should realise by now that PF eadership has no moral fibre of truth and nothing they will say will be truth.

Zambians have rejected it because they know it was meant to prolong ECL’s stay at the helm of power for long, inturn keeping you in power and shield you from possible prosecution for having looted the country with impunity.

Let hon Mundubile understand that Zambians are against PF regime for subjecting them to poverty and hunger, that is why Bill 10 collapsed because if Zambians were not happy we could have seen them protesting.
The fall of Bill 10 is the fall of ECL and the entire PF regime.

HH Bought PF Mps And Promised Them Jobs And Lubinda Was Paid By HH To Lie That Bill 10 Will Go Through – Davis Mwila

By CIC PF Reporter.
HH BOUGHT PF MPS AND PROMISED THEM JOBS AND LUBINDA WAS PAID BY HH TO LIE THAT BILL 10 WILL GO THROUGH TAKAIMONEPO ADOPTION MU 2021 MWILA TELLS LUNGU AND VOWS NOT TO ADOPT ALL THOSE PF MPS WHO MISSED PARLIAMENT.

Confusion in PF over Bill 10 has erupted to another level where the party CEO is reportedly running head counts towards the PF members of parliament and some independent MPs who did not show up at parliament to support Bill 10.
Hon Mwila has accused HH of offering jobs and more money to the PF MPS that they should not vote for bill 10.

Hon Davis Mwila has told president Edgar Lungu that Justice Minister Hon Given Lubinda is to blame for the fall of Bill 10 because he is Lozi and was paid by HH to comfort PF that it was going through when infact not.

“Alitumpa sana ulya nalimumona kale imisango shakwe anya takaimonepo adoption nakabili, takwaba umuntu uwabufi nga Lubinda. Aba Lozi naba Tonga tebakuchetekela balimutemwa HH kwati katwishi efyo abalisha nganifinshi nshaishiba nebo” (He is very foolish that one I have been observing his moves for a while now, there is no person who is a liar like Hon Lubinda. These Lozis and Tongas are not people to trust they love HH like no man’s business as if he needs them I fail to understand)” said Hon Mwila at State House.
He said PF had enough options on the table just in case of anything but that Justice Minister assured the government that even if he has not been to ZIALE yet he knew law better than John Sangwa and Linda Kasonde so no need to worry because Bill 10 was a done deal.

“Notonaula indalama ishingi sana bushe akabwesha ulya Lubinda palya ali? Shingi sana impiya shaya Pali Bill 10 elo yakana ukupita ine ninfulwa” (We have wasted so much money on Bill 10, can Hon Lubinda refund us thay money? Alot of resources where wasted on Bill 10 yet it still failed because of his lies me am very upset”

Hon Mwila has promised the Republican President that he will deal severely with all the PF MPs who did not vote for Bill 10, he said they were paid by HH and he promised them jobs he is aware of it.

“Bala Mona balekeni bemona kwati naba chenjela sana ndeba pesha” (They shouldn’t think they are clever they will see I will deal with them they will feel it” vowed Hon Mwila.
And CIC asked newly Mwansabombwe PF MP as to why he did not vote for BILL 10 he said he is new in parliament and that he doesn’t understand anything because he needs time to study it and know it, he told CIC that he will vote next time when he has full information what it was all about.

PRESS STATEMENT ON THE DEATH OF JAMES LUKUKU KASANDA

PRESS STATEMENT ON THE DEATH OF JAMES LUKUKU KASANDA
01–11–2020
With deep respect to our cultural reverence for the dead and without further intent to exert undue sorrow on the bereaved family, we feel the need to treat this death with suspicion until proven otherwise. The continued clamp down on Opposition leaders by the Patriotic Front government and their now publicly declared determination to retain power by any means is ground to call for a thorough investigation of this untimely death of our compatriot.

Mr. Lukuku had a robust health with no known medical history. While death can strike anyone anytime, the prevailing Political acrimony, open threats to Political opponents, relegation of competitors to rats and Cockroaches raises very strong suspicions. “If the government of the day looks at us citizens as cockroaches, rats and Utupuba” what can stop them ending our lives by any possible means.

Mr. Lukuku, will forever be remembered as a vociferous, intrepid Political figure of unmatched integrity in the opposition circles. He was a man who could neither be cowed, nor bought when it came to principle.

Several efforts to compromise his Political ideologies were openly repelled to the embarrassment and agitation of the Patriotic Front. He fearlessly stood and worked towards an equitable and indivisible Zambia.Where the Patriotic Front government and Edgar Chagwa Lungu saw impossibilities, he envisioned and pronounced viable options. His openness and bold stand on Constitutionalism ,freedom of speech and the rule of law eventually led to his brutal detention.

We therefore, prosecute our investigative Questions from his detention on flimsy grounds of defaming President Edgar Chagwa Lungu. What could be the limit of this heartless regime that would be comfortable in a one party state? They honestly don’t have any morality or regard to the sanctity of life.Their track record clearly shows that they can kill without a second thought at anytime given their bloody hands of innocent citizens whose only crime was to oppose their failed policies.

For Mr.Lukuku, a man in his prime life to drop dead in the midst of bloody thirsty regime should be a cause of great suspicion.
What happened when he was in detention? What could have been administered to him? It is public knowledge that he repeatedly informed the nation that state agents were trailing him on assignment to assassinate him. Could they have finally succeeded? No doubt the jubilation in the Patriotic Front government on his death is very incriminating.
We further encourage all political figures and critics who have been arrested and detained to go for independent medical examinations.

Crocodiles tears will not divert our demand for an investigation in this death of our brother. We therefore demand for a serious investigation to determine the real cause of his death. Detention of Political figures are in effect trailess assassinations commonly used by despots. An array of post incident slow poisons are administered to trigger things like cardiac arrest, etc. Let the truth be known.

Nine Nigerians to contest in US elections Tuesday

0

No fewer than nine Nigerian Americans are on the ballot in Tuesday’s general elections in the United States.

Running mostly on the platform of the Democratic Party, the candidates are bidding for different offices at the federal, state, and local levels.

NAN reports that besides the presidential election, governorship polls are holding in 11 states and two territories, in addition to other state and local elections.

Congressional elections are also holding on Tuesday with all the 435 seats in the U.S. House of Representatives, and 35 of the 100 seats in the Senate up for grabs.

At the federal level, Mr Oye Owolewa, whose father is from Kwara and mother from Oyo, is aiming for a ‘shadow’ (non-voting) seat in the House of Representatives.

Owolewa, a Ph.D holder in Pharmacy from Northeastern University, Boston, is seeking to represent the District of Columbia (DC) under the Democratic Party.

If elected, the 30-year-old, whose agenda includes fighting income inequality in the U.S., would be the first Nigerian congressman in the country’s history.

Also at the federal level, Mr Yomi Faparusi, an Ibadan-born native of Ode-Ekiti in Ekiti State, is vying as an independent candidate to represent the state of Tennessee in the U.S. Senate.

Faparusi holds a doctorate in Medicine from the University of Ibadan, a Ph.D. in Health from Johns Hopkins University, and Juris Doctorate from the Widener University School of Law, Delaware.

This is not his first shot at the U.S. Congress. In 2014 and 2016, he vied for the Republican Party’s ticket to the House of Representatives but lost on both occasions

Faparusi’s priorities include being a positive voice for all Nigerians in the U.S. Senate, and inspiring Americans of African or Nigerian descent to seek public office in the country.

In Missouri, a Republican-controlled state, Mr Yinka Faleti from Lagos is the Democratic Party flagbearer in the election for the office of Secretary of State.

According to Wikipedia, Faleti was in the U.S. Army as an active-duty officer from 1998 to 2004. He served in Kuwait, first under Operation Desert Spring and later as part Operation Enduring Freedom.

The 44-year-old father of four holds a Bachelor’s degree from the United States Military Academy, West Point, and a Juris Doctorate from the Washington University School of Law.

His goals as a Secretary of State include protection of the “right to vote for Missouri families”, and ensuring elected officials hear the people’s voice.

Also at the state level, Mr Paul Akinjo from Ondo State is running for election to the California State Assembly under the Democratic Party to represent District 12.

Akinjo once served as Vice Mayor of Lathrop, California, and in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1982 to 1989. His priorities include housing, immigration and transportation.

In Delaware, a small Mid-Atlantic U.S. state, Adewunmi Kuforiji is aspiring to represent District 34 in the state House of Representatives.

Kuforiji, originally from Ibadan, Oyo, secured the Democratic Party’s ticket on September 15 after defeating his challenger, Robert Haynes, at the primary. He holds a Bachelor in Accounting and a Master’s in Business Administration from Delaware State University.

In the 2018 mid-term elections, he vied for the same position but lost to the incumbent, Lyndon Yearick, of the Republican Party, whom he is facing on Tuesday.

Also at the state level, Ms Esther Agbaje, is seeking to represent District 59B in the Minnesota House of Representatives on the platform of the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party, an affiliate of the U.S. Democratic Party.

The 35-year-old daughter of an Episcopal priest and a librarian, both Nigerian immigrants, defeated longtime state Representative Raymond Dehn in the party’s primary in August.

She is one of the four progressive greenhorns who defeated established Democratic legislators in the primary.

Agbaje has a law degree from Harvard University, a Master’s from the University of Pennsylvania, and has served in the U.S. Department of State, among others.

As a millennial, a “generation that has suffered numerous setbacks”, she seeks to bring a fresh perspective and new ideas to government.

On the ballot at the local government level are April Ademiluyi, Ngozi Akubuike and Benjamin Osemenam.

Ademiluyi, 39, is running on the Democratic Party’s ticket for Judge of the Seventh Circuit Court in Prince George’s County, Maryland.

On her part, Akubuike, a legal practitioner, is an independent candidate for judge of the Minnesota 2nd District Court Position 8.

Akubuike studied law in Nigeria, then worked in the banking sector before moving to the U.S. where she graduated from the Mitchell Hamline School of Law.

She has served in several capacities, including legal manager for the state of Minnesota.

Osemenam, who moved to the U.S. in 1982, is contesting for a seat in the Brooklyn Park City Council of Minnesota to represent East District.

An engineer with the Minnesota Department of Transportation, he is vying on the platform of National Party.

He is a former president of the Association of Nigerian Engineers in Minnesota.

CISCA Urges John Sangwa To Stop President Lungu Contesting 2021 Elections

CISCA URGES JOHN SANGWA TO STOP PRESIDENT LUNGU CONTESTING 2021 ELECTIONS

The Civil Society Constitution Agenda (CiSCA) has urged State Counsel John Sangwa and Kelvin Bwalya Fube and other legal minds in Zambia to challenge what the organisation called the unlawful nomination of President Lungu by the Patriotic Front (PF) as a Presidential candidate for 2021

In a media statement celebrating the fall of Bill 10, CiSCA said that the lawyers, in this race of constitutionalism, must take the relay baton from the MPs and stop the 3rd term by challenging the unlawful nomination of those whom our Constitution disqualifies from standing.

Below is the full statement

CISCA STATEMENT ON THE FALL OF BILL 10

The Civil Society Constitution Agenda (CiSCA) joins the rest of Zambia in celebrating the fall of the infamous Bill 10. The fall was the only logical conclusion because the National Dialogue Act and its accompanying National Dialogue Forum gave birth to a stillborn Bill 10. We further resoundingly applaud the patriotic judicious Members of Parliament that refused to betray the people of Zambia. By defeating Bill 10 in Parliament after so many ploys by the PF Government and their cronies to hoodwink Zambians into believing that if Bill 10 flops we will suffer, the MPs have shown their allegiance to the Constitution whose authority is derived from the people of Zambia. The joy of witnessing the unplugging of the life support system from the comatose Bill 10 was indescribable.

CiSCA would like to remind the PF that scheming is not governing, scheming is just pure treachery unworthy of a democratically elected government. This is a lesson to them that constitution-making processes cannot circumvent the doctrine of consensus building. Therefore, an approach of turning constitution-making into a battle ground is foolhardy as the end result is the well-deserved defeat that Bill 10 has suffered. We want to remind the PF that when you are in power there is no need to show where power lies on every issue. Not following laid down procedures is what has plunged our country into debt. The late highly vexatious Bill 10 project will now be a case study of ‘how not to facilitate a constitution-making process’ in constitutional law.

CiSCA thanks the supporters of Bill 10 for enhancing democratic discourse and the affirmation that freedom of expression is mutually inclusive. If you exercise your freedom of expression, then do not be outraged if anyone says something back in disagreement.

We ask our fellow citizens who live by the value of ‘silence is golden’ to reflect on Martin Luther King Junior’s maxim, ‘the ultimate tragedy is not the oppression and cruelty by the bad people but the silence over that by the good people’. Yes, the Constitution is not an easy read but if you cannot bring yourself to read it all just learn these three articles; Article 1, this Constitution is the supreme law of the land; Article 2, every person has the right and duty to defend this constitution and resist or prevent a person from overthrowing, suspending or illegally abrogating this constitution and Article 5, Sovereign authority vests in the people of Zambia, which may be exercised directly or through elected or appointed representatives or institutions.

Finally, we urge State Counsel John Sangwa and Kelvin Bwalya Fube and indeed other legal minds, to in this race of constitutionalism, take the relay baton from the MPs and stop the 3rd term by challenging the unlawful nomination of those whom our Constitution disqualifies from standing.

FEAR FOR DORA…educate me, does she drink or smoke – Chief Hamusonde

0

Educate me, does Dora Siliya drink or smoke, asks chief Hamusonde.
He is also asking President Edgar Lungu to disassociate himself and the PF from Siliya’s statement that the ruling party is not ready to hand over power in 2021.

Information minister and government spokesperson Dora Siliya indicated to Sinda headmen that the PF was not ready to hand over power in 2021 unless in 2026.

Siliya, who is Petauke Central PF member of parliament, made the remarks last Sunday at Mwala Hills in Sinda district when she addressed about 300 village headmen and indunas.

But Hamusonde of Bweengwa, west of Monze district, wondered if Siliya was in a right frame of mind to say what she said.

“Educate me, does she drink or smoke? Because if she does not then I fear for her. She may have to seek serious medical attention. And if the President (Edgar Lungu) does not disassociate himself and the PF from her statement then it is gospel truth,” he said.

Hamusonde said the PF should not force anarchy in Zambia.

“Please, don’t take us the Malawi way? We are peaceful and want a blood-free transition of governments whenever there is an election as we saw in 2011 and also 1991. If there is anyone who could have resisted to hand over power, it was KK, but he saw that Zambians could be killed in the process. So the PF should not try to use force to remain in government. They should not force the army to kick them out of office if they lose in 2021,” he said. “They are now using the police to harass the opposition leaders, but I want to tell them that the police will not protect them for too long. The men and women in uniform are silent and taking orders from civilians like Dora Siliya, but they know that they swore to uphold and protect the Constitution of the Republic of Zambia and so they won’t allow the PF to rape and mutilate the supreme law of the land.”

Hamusonde added that it was sad that Siliya could even admit that Zambians were suffering and yet wants the PF to cling to power up to 2026.

“This is an insult to Zambians. What is she afraid of, prison? She should not force Zambians to take to the street. What she did is inciting violence and the police must take note of that. We want a free and fair election. Let Zambians decide who should lead them, don’t force yourself on them,” said Hamusonde.

“I appeal to the international community to take action by way of sanctions against PF leaders like Siliya. She just confirmed that the leadership of Mr Edgar Lungu is a dictatorship. Her words are that of the President himself. She cannot say what she said unless they have been discussing the same topic in Cabinet or in the President’s office.”

Lungu should be probed over privatisation

0

UPND youths have demanded that President Edgar Lungu should also be probed for the role he played in the privatisation process.

President Lungu and his PF have lately been pushing to constitute a commission of inquiry into the privatisation of public assets, which the MMD government carried out in the 1990s.

PF supporters have been calling for the inquiry, principally targeting UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema, who was at the time an advisor to the government.

In a statement, national youth chairperson Likando Mufalali said while he welcomed the inquiry wholeheartedly, President Lungu was also a suspect in the matter.

“We believe there are some irregularities in the way some of our national assets were sold. We urge the inquiry to rise above narrow political interests and conduct a fair inquiry,” he said.

“It is for this reason that we are demanding that the privatisation commission of inquiry government intends to create investigates Patriotic Front president Edgar Lungu over his role in the privatisation of the Lusaka plant of the Zambia Cold Storage Corporation Limited.”

Mufalali explained how President Lungu played his role as indicated in the Zambia Privatisation report.
“Mr Lungu was the chairman of the negotiating team for the privatisation of the company. Galaun Farms of Lusaka had offered a better deal worth K675 million cash for assets of Zambia Cold Storage excluding residential properties,” he explained. “Mr Edgar Lungu abandoned negotiations with Galaun and instead preferred to sell the company to Kembe Estates, who had offered a paltry K338.8 million for all the assets including residential properties.”

Mufalali wondered what motivated President Lungu to abandon the highest offer.

“What motivated Mr Lungu to offer Zambia Cold Storage Company to Kembe Estates?” Mufalali asked. “The proposed commission of inquiry on privatisation of state-owned companies should delve into this puzzle. We cannot help but wonder why Mr Lungu settled for a deal that clearly disadvantaged the nation. We can only speculate that he had personal interest in the deal and was probably offered a lot of money to ensure Kembe got the deal despite offering half what the highest bidder was offering.”

He said President Lungu also needed to clear his name over his dealings with some people involved in the process.

“Mr Lungu’s dealings and friendship with Greek Cypriots Chris Spyron, an honourary Consul of Cyprus to Zambia then, and his brother, the other director in Kembe Estate Limited, needs to be investigated. Mr Edgar Lungu needs to clear his name through the commission of inquiry,” Mufalali alleged. “Mr Lungu’s professional misconduct in this matter caused significant costs for Zambia Cold Storage Corporation operations. We know that Galaun Farms got an injunction restraining the Zambia Privatisation Agency from selling to Kembe Estates alleging Mr Lungu was paid huge sums of money to offer the company to Kembe Estates. This transaction could not be progressed as a result of Mr Lungu’s dealings.”

He said President Lungu’s case qualified for a comprehensive investigation.

“Today, the entire country is reeling under unprecedented economic meltdown and a mountain of debt. This is because Mr Lungu has not changed. He is still the same greedy, selfish individual who opted to deprive the country of a very good deal in the sale of Cold Storage for a few pieces of silver,” said Mufalali. “We feel this case is a good candidate for Patriotic Front proposed tribunal on the privatisation process. We urge Zambians to rise up in numbers next year and kick him out before our entire economy comes down to a grinding halt.”

President Lungu, recently, told the nation when he received a petition from PF individuals that a commission of inquiry would be set up.

Lungu Furious With The Fall Of Bill 10, Plans Massive Reshuffle

LUNGU FURIOUS WITH THE FALL OF BILL 10, PLANS MASSIVE RESHUFFLE.
President Edgar Lungu is reportedly very angry with the fall of Bill 10 as that puts his bid for a third term into serious questions now, State House sources have revealed.

Highly placed CIC sources revealed that President Lungu was assured by some of his close Ministers and senior party officials that they had done their homework in securing numbers in Parliament to pass Bill 10.

“You saw how the boss addressed the crowd when opening the flyover bridge on Friday. He is very angry and has lost trust in most of his inner circle because he is convinced they are working against him. From the flyover bridge on Friday, he never even worked and went straight to State Lodge where he was joined by friends like Valden Findlay and Bank of Zambia Governor Christopher Mvunga for a drink up. He even developed High Blood Pressure (BP) soon after losing the vote. He had to be put on some medical observations by his personal physician. You should watch the space next few days or weeks. He may make serious cabinet reshuffles and party realignments. He was even accusing some of his Ministers of working with the UPND President Hakainde Hichilema,” sources revealed

Insiders says President Lungu was so furious especially looking at the money he released through some of his close associates in the PF to entice the UPND MPs and Independent MPs to support Bill 10.

“What even annoyed him more is that some PF MPs and a cabinet minister like Brian Mushimba runaway to the U.S. at a crucial moment like this and never voted for Bill 10.

The boss had heavily invested in this Bill 10 as most of the money from KCM was being channelled into this project. Ba boss naba fulwa elo na balubana apa so. He was very sure. His Ministers and senior party officials got a lot of money for this project but they pocketed the money because they also never wanted Bill 10. Some UPND MPs and Independent MPs also got money but they duped the boss on the last day. If they knew they had no numbers, they were going to withdraw the Bill than being exposed to such an embarrassment of losing the vote,” sources revealed.

We Know The Cartel Within The PF That Don’t Want Lungu To Go For A Third Term, Reveals Dora Siliya

WE KNOW THE CARTEL WITHIN THE PF THAT DON’T WANT LUNGU TO GO FOR A THIRD TERM, REVEALS DORA SILIYA
Information and Broadcasting Minister Dora Siliya last night revealed that there was a cartel within the PF that are working against President Edgar Lungu and would want him replaced.

Siliya was hosting a private function at her residence where they were having a drink up organised by Chipata Central PF aspiring candidate Amon Jere and other former MMD colleagues but now in PF.

“We know their schemes of wanting to remove Edgar Lungu as Presidential candidate because they feel they own the party and presidency. They think President Edgar Lungu was just put there as a caretaker when late President Michael Sata died,” revealed a source who was party of the in-house function.

Siliya mentioned among others people like PF Secretary General Davies Mwila, Justice Minister Given Lubinda, Commerce Minister Christopher Yaluma, Lands Minister Jean Kapata, Nkandu Luo and some senior government and PF officials.

“These people were busy cheating my brother Edgar that Bill 10 would go through without fail yet in the background they were encouraging the UPND MPs to get the money but stay away from voting. I know my brother Edgar released a lot of money for this project. Some of the people who were given the assignment to entice the UPND MPs ended pocketing the money. The worst culprits are those who were given money to give independent MPs. We are in government and surely we failed to convince independent MPs who are not answerable to the UPND. That should be very embarrassing and the cartel are well known because they know they won’t be adopted in 2021. So their only survival is to remove Edgar Lungu as PF Presidential candidate. They want the Presidency to go back to the North or Luapula,” Siliya lamented.

She accused fellow PF ministers and senior party officials of now scheming with the opposition to challenge Edgar Lungu’s candidature in court so that he’s knocked out of the race.

“The problem with our brother he takes long to act on some of these known people. We have traitors within and I have been telling him to act, but he’s not taking action. They are busy misleading him on a number of issues including economic matters. Even ba Bwalya Ngandu at Ministry of Finance is deliberately misleading EL. Ba Bwalya Ngandu is eyeing the Presidency that’s why he’s not giving strong arguments to the bondholders,” complained Siliya in a meeting that ended around midnight.

Hating Sata even in his death

0

It’s very sad that as Zambians and Michael Sata’s family were remembering him on the sixth anniversary of his passing Dora Siliya was busy attacking him.

“Let’s not vote lazily the way we did on Rupiah. We lost him because we are many but few voted and we lost him. Those eight bags of fertiliser we got under Rupiah disappeared because Sata ate Cassava which doesn’t require fertiliser and you started calling us Paya Farmer and it’s now under President Edgar Lungu that agriculture has been revamped. These elections of next year are not an easy one. It’s war abale anga. It’s a war, we should make sure everyone registers as voters and vote on 12th August 2021 or else we will lose. Napapata, we go wrong, we in government, but forgive us please. Pray for us, we know we have gone through problems in these five years but let’s not lose this presidency because we still have a lot to do with it in our families, communities. We are not only happy for Edgar to be in State House but to work for us. If this presidency leaves, Eastern Province, nobody among us will be alive when it will be back here…Let’s not be lazy. If Edgar Lungu loses next year, good agricultural system will collapse. So we have to put on much effort if Edgar is to win next year because we still have a lot to do…” Dora told 300 village headmen and indunas in Eastern Province last Sunday.

It’s clear that despite having joined Sata’s party – the Patriotic Front – and being a minister in its government, Dora is still pained by Sata’s 2011 electoral defeat of Rupiah Banda.

This is understandable. Dora has never liked Sata. She only joined the Patriotic Front after Sata died. Dora used to denounce Sata and accuse him of all false things – if you vote Sata he will cause war in the country, men will be marrying fellow men and women fellow women.

It’s not a secret that Sata died without ever winning any elections in Eastern Province. Eastern Province never used to vote for Sata and the Patriotic Front. Eastern Province only started voting for the Patriotic Front after Sata died and was replaced by Edgar Lungu. And one would ask: is the Eastern Province now voting for the Patriotic Front or Edgar?

But no matter how much Dora hates Sata, there has to be a sense of gratitude. Sata has given them a political party that is today keeping them in power – power they don’t want to lose or relinquish.

Lungwangwa, Kasonso Should Not Be Blamed Of Trying To Work Against UPND, Says GBM

0

By Patson Chilemba
Ruling PF deputy mobilisation chairperson Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba (GBM) says UPND members of parliament, Geoffrey Lungwangwa and Teddy Kasonso should not be blamed that they are trying to work against UPND, saying they have realised that President Edgar Lungu is the best team to work with.

Speaking with Daily Revelation, GBM said the PF did not need to tell the likes of Professor Lungwangwa and Kasonso to work with them, as some were already senior members of the UPND.

“Even at the time I was there these are people who have independent minds, who cannot be controlled by one single leader in that particular party. So I think the works of the ones you have mentioned, the Lungwangwas and Kasonsos I think the wuorks they are doing, or what they are trying to do is something which they think is right, probably to work with the party or government of the day,” GBM said. “So I think they should not be blamed that they are trying to probably work against UPND. They have just realized that I think the best team to work with is President Edgar Lungu’s team.”
Mwamba said the PF had strategised to venture into opposition UPND strongholds, in order to start defections.

“I will tell you something, looking at our strongholds I don’t think we shall have a problem and I don’t think UPND will make further inroads. UPND made inroads because we were there to support it, those who come from the PF strongholds. Now we are not available, who is going to campaign for them? Yah so it’s a plus for PF and a minus for UPND,” GBM said. “Now we ourselves we have of course strategised that we should now go into their strongholds, and start now having people to defect to our party. And not just under the able leadership of President Lungu we are doing extremely well, looking in as far as development is concerned. So that’s why the people have realised that they are in the wrong camp, which is UPND.”

Prof Lungwangwa, Kasonso and Mukumbuta Mulowa have not been in good standing with their party, having defied the party’s position by voting in favour of the failed bill 10, which President Edgar Lungu was trying to use to enhance his interests and those of the ruling party.-Daily Revelation

JEZEBEL OIL

0

By Lillian Mutambo.
JEZEBEL OIL.
I received an audio last night. But I will not release it due to confidentiality and voice recognition to protect the person’s identity.
The audio has a message to all desparate women who want fame, power and money in Zambia. It is a warning to all women. According to the audio, there is a womens secret group in Zambia where a woman sells what they call the Jezebel Oil and the Evil Eye Bracelet. With the Jezebel Oil it attracts good luck, men with money and they can do anything for you all you do is make your demands. You can literally demand even cars, money, house and anything even at midnight the men will be running around like fools just to please you.. Same as the bracelet too it brings good luck in that you can literally command men.

According to the audio, there is a catch to it, women in Zambia are being secretly initiated into Satanism without knowing and when they realise it conditions they never knew they signed up for come in. You will either have kids who are born abnormal, you lose your parents, or you lose your child or you will never have kids. The person who was confessing got the bracelet as a gift. She testifies how she would go to the club and men would only be attracted to her only even when she is with other friends not part of their group. She also said they get candles and meditate, whilst in meditation they see the lady appearing to them as well. The lady is not even Zambian but the women are flocking to see her, according to her she has only met the woman vaguely and that you can hardly see her. She has only seen her in dreams but from the looks she looks maybe Tanzanian or Somalian kind of look but isn’t sure because you are not allowed to meet her. She states that she has only seen her on some not so clear pictures.

This woman was confessing and asking women to please pray for their husbands because these women attract your men. The lady got saved because her current boyfriend is a pastor and when she went on a date with him he noticed that she had a bracelet. The man asked her where she got it from because he was suspicious but it took her going through some prayers with him for her to confess. The pastor started praying for her and it brought them problems to the point that they even broke up briefly. However, the man continued praying and persisted in asking her about where she got the bracelet from. She later on confessed that it was a gift, he then took it off her and that’s how she started falling ill. He told her that the bracelet was from a very evil Alter. After she removed it, she started falling ill, she would have terrible back aches where she can’t even turn, at present she is still being prayed for and has not fully recovered.

How did she meet her friends, she met them on Instagram and Facebook as they were always flaunting their wealth.. Though she didn’t have money to buy the bracelet, she was given as a gift and things started happening. She says alot of Zambian women have joined because of envy and admiration and they are buying the Jezebel Oil which they apply on their body to attract men. She also states that the men can do anything for you even if it means getting a loan from the bank just to please you, they will do it. She added that because people may notice the bracelet most women now are wearing earrings instead or something else for others not to notice…

The person is currently still under prayers and is warning Zambian women abalunkumbwa that please avoid joining these people you are initiated into satanism unknowingly. She is begging you to avoid this and says not everything you see on social media is genuinely achieved many Zambian women are now into Satanism.

Lord have mercy, I cry for your souls young ladies, because of wealth you will go and get demonic oils from evil shrines. Ehhhh..

As a vlogger I receive alot of data from people that want me to talk about these things. I think I will talk about it in my video based on the audio information. I hope you have ears, lwenu.

THE MAN WHO CONVINCED MAZOKA TO BECOME FIRST UPND PRESIDENT

THE MAN WHO CONVINCED MAZOKA TO BECOME FIRST UPND PRESIDENT…
and blessed me too – founder member/card holder no. 15 – Bbindikila
—————————————————————
How can one summerize a 25 year old dramatic history of the founding of the mighty UPND in a few paragraphs to satisfy today’s impatient 10-minute millenial readers?..The story setting is in Pemba, a small, peaceful picturesque town near a village called MUzoka – the birthplace of Anderson Kambela MAzoka, the founding President of the mighty UPND!
But before Mazoka, you will be very shocked, if not amused to discover that PF Vice President of the Republic of Zambia (Her Honour mama Inonge Wina) was first to be offered leadership of the mighty UPND. She was followed deep into the sands of Western province in 1995, and was invited to become first president of the mighty UPND. That was three years before the party was officially launched in 1998. But Inonge flatly refused the call of destiny. Afterall, her late husband, Arthur Wina, was the genius behind the coming to power of MMD. Together, they had killed a big elephant, it was time to eat, a time to share the spoils of victory, and not a time to defect!

The story was narrated by Mr Bbindikila Mwiinga, freedom fighter, UPND founder member/card holder number 15, master-craftsman of the Pentagram and stretched open right palm (UPND LOGO) to depict the 5 senses of man and hard work, a humble servant of the party, patriot parexcellence, exceedingly wise man, a living encyclopedia of Zambia’s pre and post-colonial history, teller of Zambia’s political tragi-comedy, was team leader of a special unit assigned to travel across 9 provinces of Zambia in search of a UPND President when it first occured that the Chiluba-led MMD regime was taking Zambia down a dangerous path of disaster.

Enter Mazoka, Economist. Mazoka was at the time best of the best top-flight vibrant chief executives working for the multi-national mining conglomerate – Anglo-American corporation. Like Inonge, Mazoka flatly refused to take up the UPND leadership, but promised to financially support it quietly. It was far too risky for him. Bbindikila and his head-hunting party who were desperate for a leader to take the UPND into the 1996 elections went back empty handed, distraught, but not defeated.

Bbindikila and the UPND founders, then still in National Party (NP), went into an alliance with Agenda for Zambia led by the radical rubble-rouser Akashambatwa Mbikusita-Lewanika , another living encyclopedia of Zambian politics and political history. Even with UNIP and it’s President Kaunda (lawfully declared a foreigner of Malawian origin) technically knocked out of the race, the alliance was soundly defeated. UPND had to be officially formed, and fast! Bbindikila and his head hunters played their last card!

Believe it or not, Bbindikila reported and the head hunters reported Mazoka to Chief Monze the way a man would report his wife to the police for refusing to perform her matrimonial duties😂…”this man Mazoka is refusing to become president of UPND” Bbindikila and team beseeched the Chief for intervention.

Chief Monze summoned Mazoka, and Chief Monze prevailed. And that’s how Mazoka begrudgingly accepted to carry the political cross that would eventually take a toll on him after he was given slow poison by enemies of the mighty UPND when he won, but was robbed of the 2001 elections.

Mazoka is the epitome of selfless christ-like leadership. He sacrificed his top-flight career, his families happiness something few Zambians can do today. Mazoka sacrificed his wealth, and his life to see a better Zambia for all, a vision which Bbindikila wants to see before he dies, a hope he believes will be finally fulfilled by Mazoka’s successor Hakainde Hichilema in 2021, yet another man who has given everything to the cause of a better Zambia for all, and so much more!

Bill 10 Was A Political Trap Against UPND And HH By PF, Lungu Has Won The Game – VJ
BY ADMIN_BATOKA ON OCTOBER 30, 2020
Vernon Mwaanga, Lusaka
Last night, another terrible political blunder for 2021 was committed by Zambia’s largest opposition party, the UPND under the able leadership of HH. While we all identified some ills and flaws in Bill 10 and did not support it somehow, l am of the firm view that the political drama and gamble around Bill 10 in parliament yesterday was won by PF and President Lungu as opposed to UPND and HH.

From where l sit and view this issue, it is clear to tell that the PF government had a clear scheme of setting up a crooked trap on UPND and HH with reference to the 2021 campaign, using the infamous Bill 10 narrative. Here is how UPND and HH lost it to PF and Lungu yesterday in parliament:

1. By rejecting Bill 10, HH and UPND have rejected increased youth and students participation in parliament through a mixed member system. What will UPND tell the youth and students in 2021 campaigns? Clearly, UPND has now lost it by abdicating the entire pro youth and students national agenda to PF;
2. For failing to support Bill 10, UPND has lost trust and support from the evangelical church community who wanted the Christian declaration properly constitutionalized. This works against HH who is widely accused to be a Satanist and supporter of homosexuality;
3. By denouncing Bill 10, UPND has denounced the Zambian women who wanted increased representation in parliament via a mixed member system. UPND’s position on women is also against SADC, AU or UN protocols that calls for increased women participation in political leadership and public life;

4. For frustrating Bill 10 to fall, HH and UPND have angered the physically challenged and other minority citizens such as the death, blind, albinos, wheelchaired, etc who could have entered into parliament without open vote competition. UPND and HH have lost these groups to President Lungu and PF for next year;
5. By spitting on Bill 10 with dirty UPND saliva, I think HH has ‘puffed’ into the faces of Zambian chiefs and traditional leaders who wanted to end their current succession wrangles, gain government protection and restore sanity in their chiefdoms. So, Lungu and PF now have a sweet message to chiefs, headmen and traditional leaders against HH and UPND for next year;

6. For defiling Bill 10 with malice, I am of the view that HH and UPND have rejected constituency delimitation agenda which is a wide public outcry across Zambia. How are they going to face voters who have been longing to have their own new districts and constituencies to determine their own development using their own CDF? Clearly, UPND didn’t know that the devil was in the details of Bill 10 against their 2021 campaign.
7. By ejecting Bill 10, UPND has decided to keep the number of MPs both fixed and limited to 150 when the country’s population has tripled and many stakeholders today wanted a bigger parliament. It also means the size of their MP in parliament will either remain the same or reduce next year especially that President Lungu and PF have entered, taken over and will get many seats in Western or North Western Provinces ;

8. For killing Bill 10, my bird’s view thoughts are that HH will now suffer double condemnation from the masses as the tag of being the ‘theft protagonist of privatization’ as well as enemy of progressive national agendas such as the 2016 national referendum as well as 2020 Bill 10 will increase against him going into 2021 Presidential elections;
9. By denouncing Bill 10 via parliamentary absenteeism, HH and their alliances have accepted that, after losing in August next year, they are fine to face their political horrors of 2016, to petition the presidential election results and get the final judgement within 14 days instead of 30 days.

10. And when l saw pictures of HH and our UPND MPs dancing openly to celebrate the fall of Bill 10 at his house in New Kasama yesterday, l realized that PF had won the Bill 10 trap against the opposition. If you followed the debate in parliament, all 89 PF spoke for the Bill merely to put it on record against UPND for 2021 elections.
To me, Bill 10 has revealed to all of us that PF plays hard school and well schemed politics of real of science and mathematics while the lead opposition use impulsive and manual tactics. And by winning 105 for Bill 10 less by 6 votes, the science of numbers still remain in favour of Bill 10 and PF as opposed to UPND and HH.

Generally, the political novices think that the fall of Bill 10 has weakened PF or Lungu. The reality now is that PF and Lungu will go into 2021 campaigns with a better narrative and stronger message against HH and UPND. If fact, where they have some challenges, Lungu and PF have a better excuse now to justify some of their failures in delivering development using the fall of Bill 10 by blaming it on the UPND and HH.

Unless you are too sure with all facts presented before you, it is better not to start fighting battles you dont fully know or understand. What has happened to Bill 10 is not good news for UPND or HH such that, l didn’t expect opposition MPs including their president dancing. That dance is certainly a bad political statement as well as a voter threat for themselves in 2021.

When you have elderly people to consult in the village on key public matters but you choose not to do so, failure becomes both unforgivable and unjustifiable.
I end here for now.

Hon. Ronald Chitotela Mourns The Death Of Bill 10

0

By Hon. Ronald Chitotela, MP

POSTERITY WILL ALWAYS BE AN EQUILISER JUST LIKE TIME
Just like I did state in my contribution to the debate on the floor of the house on the issue of AMENDMENT BILL NUMBER 10, I repeat here and now that the Patriotic Front was desirous to present to the people of Zambia a constitution that would look at the interests of the youths, women, church, the differently abled and general welfare of the people.
President President Lungu has demonstrated true patriotism through his desire and eagerness to give an opportunity to the youths, the women, the differently abled to have representation in Parliament without contestation, to give the declaration of Zambia as a Christian Nation space in the constitution against it being only a declaration of intent in the preamble. To give the Chiefs security against the current situation where wrangles among them is the order of the day.

The delimitation of constituencies is another thing that President Lungu was desirous to give to the Zambian people. This was going to enhance us as a country economically and socially, but the UPND have said no to all that in the name of politics, what a shame.
The above among many good clauses in the just fallen Bill 10 have basically been shuttered and fought by our colleagues in the UPND purely on partisan politics. The UPND has denied the Zambian youths, women and the differently abled an opportunity to have their voices be heard in Parliament by shooting the Bill down. Maybe because they still want to remain in Parliament even after serving for 20 years for some of them.

The UPND have said no to security for the Chiefs, they have said it is ok to have these wrangles and quarrels among our traditional leaders. They have demonstrated that they are comfortable seeing our traditional leaders in a vulnerable state as is the case now where anyone can rise and bring confusion among themselves.

President Lungu and the PF did their best to see to it that the uncertainties among our traditional leaders must be the thing of the past through amending the constitution which could have seen our traditional leaders have maximum security. He intended to see to it that youths, women and the differently abled need not to go for elections for them to be in the House of Assembly, he was desirous to see to it that the declaration of Zambia as a Christian nation becomes part of the constitution. This will remain a great achievement on the part of President Lungu for what he has always wanted os the best for this country.
To our traditional leaders, the women, youths, differently abled and the church, be reminded that this same UPND will come to you next year to seek for your vote even after denying you a chance to secure your future. They will come and beg you to vote for them back to Parliament for the fifth term for some of them after denying you chance to be represented also in the same Parliament. Will you listen to them with this daylight betrayal on you?

I urge you our traditional leaders, the youths, women and differently abled that come 2021, may you increase the numbers of PF members of Parliament and renew the mandate of President Edgar Lungu so that we bring back this progressive Bill to parliament to secure our bright future for mother Zambia. They have said no to you, please say no to them also as they come to seek for your vote.

As for us in Pambashe, we shall go for President Lungu as he has shown and demonstrated true patriotism and good leadership. One thing I want to assure those that have fought Bill 10 is that they will meet the same people they have denied the opportunity in 2021

Take A Deep Breath, Relax And Reflect President Lungu. Your Team Is Misleading You, Next The PF Convention Will Bite You

0

TAKE A DEEP BREATH, RELAX AND REFLECT PRESIDENT LUNGU. YOUR TEAM IS MISLEADING YOU, NEXT THE PF CONVENTION WILL BITE YOU— Michael
“Time to sit and reflect if truly you have a good team to work with you is now. Otherwise this is a huge sign that President Lungu is being given a political crocodile smile by his team. President Lungu was told all is well, we have numbers to pass Bill 10. Despite PF not having numbers to reach 2/3 for the Bill, it depended on opposition and Independent MPs to help. Such are numbers which continuously the President was assured PF has done ground works and it has.

Now that Bill 10 has fallen, President Lungu should then question himself if he has genuine Chief Whip, Genuine Ministers, Genuine Vice President and Genuine MPs. Further he shud doubt the PF leadership. All these guys lied to him continuously that they have numbers in parliament to win Bill 10.

Further all those corrupted Chiefs who were paid to say Bill 10 is good should realise their shame. Further all those Church leaders, Civil society Organisations who supported Bill 10 should be shameless and evil. We thank the gallant UPND, NDC and 4 Independent MPs for siding with Zambia and say no to Bill 10. Even if Bill 10 was to be voted by citizens still more it would’ve falled. Ba PF God was and is watching you. How can you mislead the Disabled community and youths that the current constitution doesn’t allow them to be in parliament. Read article 259.

Now that Bill 10 is done, the PF convention is the next block President Lungu should handle with care. The questions is:-
1. Are all PF members ok with President Lungu as 2021 candidate?
2. Are all PF members agreeing that President Lungu has done only 1 term?
3. Are all PF members happy with how President Lungu is running the party?
4. Are true greens happy that the MMD in PF has taken charge of the party?
President Lungu should be careful with another misleading promise *All is well, you will win at convention and contest 2021, Mr President you are the sole candidate for 2021*
President Lungu should realise that teeth are bones. Not every time you see teeth then that person is happy.
Zambians have spoken, Bill 10 is done and dusted.

Kambwili Thanks Steve Chungu, Nathan Chanda And Chilufya Tayali For Taking Him To Prison

For Immediate Release
Luanshya 31st October 2020
KAMBWILI THANKS STEVE CHUNGU, NATHAN CHANDA AND CHILUFYA TAYALI FOR TAKING HIM TO PRISON
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) President Dr. Chishimba Kambwili, on Thursday, during his presser at his woodlands Residence, thanked Steve Chungu , Nathan Chanda and Chilufya Tayali for taking him to prison without committing an offense.
Dr. Kambwili assured the trio that posterity would judge them.

During the presser, Dr. Kambwili appealed to the Judiciary not to be destroyed by one man by the name of David Simusamba.
Dr. Kambwili stated that Dr. Fred Mmembe forgave Simusamba after having sent him to prison and now he is jailing innocent person.

He said he had nothing against Magistrate Simusamba and only posterity would judge him.
The NDC President said that he felt sorry for people like Chilufya Tayali. He explained that Tayali should have been sent to prison for perjury when he misled the court during his testimony.

Dr. Kambwili further said that there was no way he could have registered a fictitious company to collect government contracts when the company was registered before he became minister.
Mwamona Engineering and Technical Services company was registered in 2001 and not in 2013 as stated by Tayali.

Dr. Kambwili explained that his company only did one government contract and the rest were subcontracted jobs.
‘The only big customers for my company were mines and not government. When I was minister of sports, I never asked my company to do government contracts,’ President Kambwili said.

He explained that he was hated by some of his family members for denying them government contracts and yet some one came to accuse him of stealing government projects.

He dared the people that had information that he used his company to get government contracts to take him to court.
Dr. Kambwili further asked those in government positions with information to come up in the open with evidence.

He also clarified that his company only had one contract at Mopani which started in 2009 and kept on being renewed. At that time, he was not a minister. He was in opposition. This contract was terminated in 2019.

He advised his persecutors to at least get their facts right and not use all sorts of lies to get at him.

WITH BILL 10 DEAD, THE MAJOR PROBLEM WE HAVE ON OUR HANDS IS ECZ

0

WITH BILL 10 DEAD, THE MAJOR PROBLEM WE HAVE ON OUR HANDS IS ECZ
Bill 10, the fraudulent issuance of NRC’S, the fraudulent voter registration process, jailing of key opposition leaders and the concocted privatization inquiry are all part of a well calculated sceme to weaken the opposition, strengthen Lungu and guarantee him a third term against the will of the people of Zambia.

1: Bill 10 is now dead so let’s set that aside, they’ve suffered a tremendous blow.
2: The PF has been largely successful in the fraudulent issuance of NRC’S. They’ve issued NRC’S to children, suspected foreign nationals and certain individuals have received multiple NRC’S. They’ve also issued more NRC’S in their perceived strongholds and very few NRC’S in areas where opposition is strong.

3: The last phase of their plan is to create a fictitious voter register where they will control the number of people who register in each region so that they skew the voter register in their favor.

In order to achieve this, they need to throw away the current voter register to pave way for a new one.
But this act is illegal and is in total contravention of the Electoral Process Act of 2016 which clearly states that the voter register has an infinite life, and that’s why these matters are in court today.

The ECZ has been hijacked by PF, all of the commissioners of ECZ are PF surrogates and all their decisions are meant to aid the PF.
We the people need to make it loud and very clear to the ECZ that we won’t accept a fraudulent voter registration process.

Nshindano and his friends must learn from what happened in Malawi just this year. They are doing exactly what the Malawi Electoral Commission was doing, trying to rig an election for Mutharika.

In the end there was a people’s uprising, the Electoral Commission leaders fled, one was found trying to cross the border into Zambia, others are facing criminal charges.
Let he who has an ear listen to what the voice of wisdom is saying.
Do the right thing and follow the law ;

1: Maintain the 2016 Voter Register
2: Remove dead people by obtaining death records from the district councils and traditional authorities, the records are there.
3: Add new voters through registration
4: Allow a voter registration period of 3 months as has always been the case.
5: Avail the final voter register in digital format to stakeholders so that it can be scrutinized and run through facial recognition software so that duplicate faces and children are identified and eliminated from the voter register.

6: Subject the ECZ IT systems to independent systems auditors to review the system to confirm that one individual cannot register more than once with the same fingerprints, this is the only way to eliminate those individuals that were issued with multiple NRC’S by the PF.

These measures are all a pre requisite to a free and fair election.
When it comes to foreigners, we will physically go to the villages and identify those who live across the border but were issued with NRC’S.

Raising The Girl Child In The Era Of Mutale Mwanza And Alice Musukwa

0

By Chibesa Kalandwe II BA (UNZA), MSc (Arizona)
Mutale Mwanza is the talk of the town yet again. She is riding high on the crest of attention and envy. This hustleprenuer consistently continues to divide public opinion. Indeed, she may be Zambia’s own version of Bonang Matheba, Boity Thulo or the controversial Zodwa Wa Bantu.

Just last evening, Mutale received yet another gift. It was a powerful Range Rover Evoque from one of her many admirers. According to the car supplier Auto Xtreme, that model will cause damage to the wallet north of K700, 000. We all want the good life. Success is the ultimate apex of hardwork and Ms. Mwanza should never be an exception because she is a human being like all of us, we want success

From the video that has gone viral, the whole surprise was poorly choreographed, Mutale wants us to believe it was a surprise present but the body language shows an extreme otherwise.

But you see, Mutale’s vast and speedy accumulation of wealth may present challenges. Its her season and time but the manner in which these excesses are being flaunted will have a bearing on the hundreds of young women who she exerts her social media influence on.
Mutale’s actions reduce the principle of hard-work and the importance of education in attaining goals in life. Young women will be tempted to ask how Mutale can have a massive house under construction in Makeni, flaunt a Range Rover and a Ford Ranger with an addition of a BMW.

Not even a senior Economist at the Bank of Zambia (BOZ) can simultaneously sustain this level of financial commitment that Mutale seems to have going on. So where is she getting all these things?

In order to compete and keep up with the Mutale Mwanza and Alice Musukwa lifestyle, Zambian girls may want the easy way out. Parents will have a hard time convincing Mutinta, Kutemba or Ketiwe that education is the key to success. Because they would have seen Mutale and Alice globetrotting around the world in expensive vehicles when they have no traceable form of education or solid source of income.

In her numerous interviews that she seems to have conducted over the last few months, Mutale has informed everyone who has ears that she is not in any form of relationship. So who are these men who are lining up to shower her with all sorts of expensive gifts for her birthday?

This is not a morally upright way of inspiring the next generation of Zambian girls. Ms. Mwanza should self-introspect and find a befitting way of molding the next generation of female influencers.

Dear Zambian young woman, there is still power in a good education. It is the only solid foundation that can never abandon you. Do not be misled, do not feel unloved because others seem to have all the cars and yet you fight with the conductor of the Flash Buses every morning on your way to school. You do not know if Aunt Small Small Alice Musukwa even gets to have a peaceful sleep with all that glamour. It comes with its own stress.

Don’t soil Sata’s name, Kambwili tells Dora

0

NDC leader and PF founder member Chishimba Kambwili says Dora Siliya’s statement that Michael Sata destroyed the agriculture sector is an insult to the late president.

Addressing the media at his Lusaka residence yesterday, Kambwili warned the Minister of Information and Broadcasting Services not to soil Sata’s name like she did in the past.

He reminded Siliya that the ministerial position she was enjoying today was a result of Sata’s sweat.

“When I read the newspaper today, particularly The Mast and what I heard yesterday after I came back from the memorial service of my mentor (Sata), the man I respect so much, the man responsible for all the development you are seeing…imisebo (roads), he made a 20-year-plan. Michael Chilufya Chilufya Sata made a 20-year-plan and what Dora says that Mr Sata destroyed the agriculture sector because kumyabo balya tute, takwaba amataba so tabaishibe ifya fertiliser (In Sata’s native village, they just eat cassava, there’s no maize, so they know nothing about fertiliser) is an insult to Mr Sata,” he said.

Kambwili recalled that it was not the first time Siliya was issuing disparaging remarks on the PF founding president.

“Let me quote what Dora said, my heart bleeds… It says…I just want to go on the portion where it talks about my mentor, my father, the owner of PF. Iyo Dora lelo alimo minister, eyo aya mukutuka nokubepesha ubufi (the PF in which Dora is minister today is the one she is insulting and lying about). It says ‘the eight bags of fertiliser we got under Rupiah Banda disappeared because Mr Sata ate cassava which does not require fertilizer, and you started calling us paya farmer and it is now under President Edgar Lungu that the agriculture sector is being revamped…’ What an insult. Dora wherever you are, apologise for this statement,” Kambwili demanded. “People of Zambia, you may remember very well and I was in the forefront in parliament when the MMD decided to reduce the number of fertilizer bags for FISP from eight to four. You remember my debate in parliament. I said this move is aimed at you sharing the eight bags so that you can have more people being given fertiliser and create a network for people to vote for you. I said it was a political stance and we could not support it as PF and said please mubweseshe abantu (return to the people) eight bags.”

He said the reduction from eight bags to four was done under Banda’s administration towards the 2011 elections.

“…Because they didn’t have money to add more people on FISP, so they just decided to reduce the bags to four so that they could put more villagers on FISP to get four bags but we condemned it as PF,” Kambwili said. “[Justice minister Given] Lubinda you were there, [lands minister] Jean Kapata you were there, so how can you guys sit and relax and be quiet when Dora is saying ba Sata ebacitile (Sata is the one who) reduced from eight bags to four? But nomba natwamba ukufiwamya, nafiwama, please mwilatuka ba (but now we’ve started correcting things, they’re fine; Please don’t insult Mr) Sata.”

Kambwili said Siliya was repeating her disparaging remarks on Sata like she did in 2011.

He recalled that when Siliya was joining the PF he refused to work alongside her.

Kambwili recalled stating that if it meant selling his soul to the devil he was going to do so unless Siliya apologised.

“You apologised but kanshi (so) that apology was crocodile tears but nalelo wabwekeshapo ukutuka ba Sata (even today you’ve insulted Mr Sata). Does it mean abantu abafuma ku (people who hail from the) Northern Province… because ku Northern Province tulalya ubunga bwa tute… Cacine tulalya tute, naba Sata balelya ubunga bwa tute, so nga walya ubunga bwa tute ninshi tawaishiba ukulima amataba (because in Northern Province we eat cassava meal… Yes, we eat cassava, even Mr Sata used to eat cassava meal. Does it mean that if you eat cassava meal then you don’t know how to grow maize) and cannot give people fertilizer?”

Kambwili said in fact Sata before elections suggested that they could be giving people 12 bags of fertiliser but could not do it because they found the coffers empty.

He said up to now the bags of fertiliser have not been increased but wondered how Siliya entangled Sata’s name in the matter.

“Campaign, talk to the people but respect Mr Sata. Nakupapata Dora, nafukama (I beg you, Dora, I’m kneeling… have respect for Mr Sata. That position of minister you are enjoying today is because of our sweat and Mr Sata’s sweat. And I will not sit back and watch you insult Mr Sata and cast aspersions over Mr Sata,” said Kambwili. “Mwaisa naku memorial kwati mwalibatemwa ba Sata (You even attended his memorial service as if you loved him)! My heart bleeds.”

Speaking to about 300 village headmen and indunas at Mwala Hills on Sunday, Siliya said at times those in government go wrong but they need to be forgiven and prayed for.

“Let’s not vote lazily the way we did on Rupiah. We lost him because we are many but few voted and we lost him. Those eight bags of fertiliser we got under Rupiah disappeared because [Michael) Sata ate cassava which doesn’t require fertiliser and you started calling us paya farmer and it’s now under President Edgar Lungu that agriculture has been revamped,” said Siliya while observing that next year’s elections are not going to be easy one. “These elections of next year are not an easy one. It’s war abale anga (my brothers and sisters)! It’s a war, we should make sure everyone registers as voters and vote on 12th August 2021 or else we will lose.”

PF ARE DEAD AND BURIED…with or without Bill 10 they are gone – Changala

0

BREBNER Changala has charged that ill intentions by PF and the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) on voter registration have backfired.

He says the ruling PF has lost legitimacy and, “With or without Bill 10 they are gone. These guys are gone – dead and buried”.

A week ago, Vice-President Inonge Wina told Parliament that the ECZ would not discard the current Voters’ Register but would just update it.

This is contrary to the Commission’s original and consistent statement that they would introduce a completely new register.

And on Tuesday this week, ECZ chief electoral officer Patrick Nshindano went against his own earlier statements and told the nation at a media briefing that Vice-President Wina’s position was in fact the correct one.

He also said the Commission had only managed to capture 120,000 voters from the online pre-registration exercise which ECZ had been running for over a month.

Reacting to the conflicting statements, Changala, a good governance and human rights activist, said ECZ should have listened to stakeholders’ concerns from the beginning.

“It is very true that the original intentions were embedded in malice and untruthfulness. Now, since it has backfired. Instead of apologising they’re now shifting positions. The Vice-President says the old register is valid, the spokesperson says it’s dead, ECZ is postponing the dates of the exercise; this is a confusion and nobody is apologising,” he said. “I want to beg these people, sincerely and honestly to come out in the open, apologise and give this process some credibility; even some semblance of credibility. I know they want to prepare the people of Zambia’s minds for a dispute because the elections of 2021, PF is definitely losing. There’s no doubt about it. With or without Bill 10 they are gone. These guys are gone – dead and buried. They’ve no legitimacy!”

Changala called on the government to respect the people’s will on the electoral process.

He explained the importance of elections in citizens’ lives the world over.

“But trying to play with the electoral process is banditry, it’s criminal. And they must lay off and allow the people to make a decent choice as to who governs them in 2021 and beyond,” Changala stressed. “We are in very dangerous times with the crooked and insincere government leadership. Elections is an important event because it shapes the direction, culture and the social dynamics of a society.”

He warned the government about the dangers of issuing conflicting statements on such an important national issue.

“To have these conflicting statements from the Vice-President, number two from the Head of State and then another view from the CEO of the Electoral Commission of Zambia; but most importantly, you get another version that the old register is obsolete from the chief government spokesperson, telling her tribesmates and chiefs in Eastern Province that the old register is dead and buried, so go and register for new voters’ register is highly dangerous, politically inflammatory and beyond any measure of government integrity in the management of state of affairs,” Changala said. “We need to be told as to whether this government is ready to hold a general election on the 12th of August 2021. With all this confusion, a statement is made on the floor of the House, it’s very important that that statement is respected because it’s given to the people’s representatives.”

Changala said the vote is a badge of dignity, which should be respected by those in government.

He said the ruling PF had lost the legitimacy to preside over national affairs.

“As I said the last time, the vote is a badge of dignity for every citizen because that’s the only time the rich and the poor, the disgraced and the honoured, they meet at the same crossroad to decide the destiny of their country,” said Changala. “A statement is made by the chief government spokesperson [Leader of Government Business in the House, the Vice-President], it means she’s disseminating a government position and policy over these elections. And the chief executive of ECZ also speaks on behalf of the Electoral Commission of Zambia, which is supposed to be independent. But we have a cocktail of confusion because they’re all not sincere. They’re all crooked one way or the other and they want to cheat the people of Zambia. I must say it plainly that PF as a government has lost the mandate to govern. It has lost its legitimacy; it has no moral right to preside over the affairs and welfare of the people of Zambia.”

2020 GCE & G9 EXTERNAL EXAMINATION RESULTS RELEASED

2020 GCE PASS RATE INCREASES
By Chileshe Mwango
The 2020 external Grade 9 and General Certificate Examinations -GCE- have revealed an increase in females wishing to improve themselves academically over the males.
The number of registered female candidates at both Grade 9 and GCE External Examinations for females was twice that of males with 67,843 girls for grade nine while 59,318 boys registered as candidates.

Meanwhile of the 118,225 registered candidates in 2020, 39,523 were male and 78,702 were female.

And announcing the results at a media briefing in Lusaka yesterday, General Education Minister Dennis Wanchinga described the development as good, saying this new trend will increase the number of females in decision making positions.

And Dr. Wanchinga also disclosed that of the 109,547 candidates that sat for the examination, a total of 98,043 candidates obtained the General Certificate Of Education-GCE-, representing an increase from 96,019 who obtained the GCE in 2019.
Dr. Wanchinga has also disclosed that 96,424 passed the 2020 Grade 9 External Examinations out of the 115,732 who sat the examination.

He however expressed concern that majority of the candidates at both GCE and External Grade 9 Examination performed well in French and failed in Religious Education –RE-, despite the country being a Christian Nation.

And Dr. Wancchinga has disclosed that his ministry will in future examinations put up strict measures in curbing impersonation which he says is the new phenomenon in examination malpractice.

Dr. Wanchinga said despite the absence of leakages of examination question papers during the conduct of the 2020 Grade 9 External and GCE examinations sixty (60) cases of suspected examination malpractices were reported during the 2020 Grade 9 External examination while one hundred three (103) cases of suspected examination malpractice were reported in the 2020 GCE examination.
He revealed that the cases recorded were in form of smuggling unauthorized material into the examination room, collusion, copying, impersonation and assistance.

LUNGU DOESN’T QUALIFY TO STAND IN 2021 – SANGWA
I’M WAITING FOR LUNGU TO FILE-IN HIS NOMINATIONS – SANGWA…I don’t need to resort to plan B now that bill 10 has collapsed

By Patson Chilemba
State Counsel John Sangwa says he is waiting for President Edgar Lungu to file in his nominations for the 2021 general elections, saying he doesn’t need to resort to a plan B now that bill 10 has fallen.

And Sangwa said the greatest credit should go to UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema and his members of parliament for successfully blocking Bill 10 from passing.
Speaking with Daily Revelation on the failure of Bill 10 to pass, after it failed to garner the two thirds majority, the same bill, whose one of the main goal was to remove legal challenges against people’s candidatures upon filing-in nominations, Sangwa maintained his stance to challenge President Lungu’s candidature should he dare file-in the nominations. Sangwa has argued that the Republican Constitution bars the President from running for office having twice held office.

Sangwa was asked if the bill 10 failure had cleared any impediments towards achieving his goals. Responding, he said even if the bill had passed, he still had a plan B to fulfill his objective.

“I had a plan B, okay! So I had a plan B. I don’t need a plan B now. So now that the bill has collapsed I will proceed. My petition which I drafted pursuant to Article 52 still stands,” Sangwa said. “I just need to print it, sign it and date (it) ready for filing before court should Mr Lungu file in the nomination. I am waiting. I am waiting yah.”

Sangwa said it was a great day to be Zambian following the failure of the bill to pass, giving credit to Hichilema and his members of parliament.

“It’s a great day for Zambia. It’s a great day for our system of government because it shows that we are truly a multiparty system of government as opposed to a one party state. And our political system has worked and also I think the greatest credit should go to Mr Hakainde Hichilema and his MPs, okay in terms of his leadership for guiding his MPs,” said Sangwa. “For MPs sticking to the party position. For respecting the position taken by the principles and ideals taken by the party, and I think that is the way a multiparty system of government is supposed to work.”

BILL 10 DOWN, ECZ IS NEXT – Nevers Mumba

ECZ WE ARE COMING FOR YOU – MUMBA
BILL 10 DOWN, ECZ IS NEXT
========================
Nevers Mumba
MMD President
29th October 2020
My fellow Zambians.
On Thursday 29th October, we appealed to Parliamentarians from both sides to choose peace and unity of the nation above partisan politics. We called on the deep conscience of our members of Parliament to vote against Bill 10. We further appealed to the Christian family in the nation to pray and stop the impending danger Bill 10 could pose to peace.
BILL 10 ENEMY #1 HAS FALLEN…..

Following the events in parliament, it remains our moral responsibility to thank and salute the galant members of Parliament who chose people’s interests above partisan interests. Bill 10 has finally fallen. Zambia has been saved from a disastrous future of disunity and unnecessary conflict.

The position of the New Hope MMD has been that the bill lacked consensus and was a recipe for violence and insecurity.
The arrogance of the PF has been astonishing.
The end has been a humiliation defeat.
This process of leveling the electoral playing field ahead of the 2021 election has started to take shape. We however must not rest until we remove all threats to a free and fair election next year.

ECZ ENEMY #2 IS NEXT…
The next enemy to peace and security is the ECZ. The arrogance being demonstrated by the ECZ is no different from the arrogance which delivered Bill 10 to its death.
DEMANDS TO A FREE AND FAIR ELECTION;

◦ We call on all Zambians to demand that the electoral process be subjected to a consensus audit.
◦ We demand that the old voters list be not tempered with.
◦ We demand for a complete audit of the NRC issuance process.
◦ We demand for the neutralization of the Public Order Act.
◦ We demand for a credible non partisan appointment of ECZ Commissioners.
◦ We demand for a security of tenure for the new ECZ commissioners.
◦ We demand for the new ECZ to have power to disqualify any candidate who contravenes electoral guidelines.

◦ We demand that the police stay away from the electoral process.
We celebrate today’s victory but we still have many mountains to climb and many rivers to cross before we get to the promised land.

For Israel to break free from the bondage of Egypt, they never gave up. It was only after the tenth plague that Egypt surrendered.
We call upon all Zambians regardless of political affiliation to come together and defeat the next enemy of a flawed electoral process.
This is God’s Country and God is at work as he prepares a new Nation.
Zambia Shall Be Saved.

CiSCA Statement on the Fall of Bill 10

CiSCA Statement on the Fall of Bill 10
Lusaka, 30th October 2020: The Civil Society Constitution Agenda (CiSCA) joins the rest of Zambia in celebrating the fall of the infamous Bill 10.

This is a lesson to them that constitution making processes cannot circumvent the doctrine of consensus building. Therefore, an approach of turning constitution making into a battle ground is foolhardy as the end result is the well-deserved defeat that Bill 10 has suffered. We want to remind the PF that when you are in power there is no need to show where power lies on every issue. Not following laid down procedures is what has plunged our country into debt. The late highly vexatious Bill 10 project will now be a case study of ‘how not to facilitate a constitution making process’ in constitutional law.

UPND Have Won The Battle But Will Lose The War – Wiseman Tembo

UPND Have Won The Battle But Will Lose The War.
By Wiseman Tembo.
Deja Vu (history repeating itself) is what the nation experienced and witnessed yesterday as Bill 10 of 2019 failed to make it because the opposition (UPND) MPs had no balls to debate and vote on the floor of the house like they courageously do on social media, radio, TV and other platforms. “Zambia backwards” should be the UPND’s new slogan because their aim is to see Zambia stagnant and underdeveloped. Bill 10 had progressive clauses but they refused it because of their pettiness and bitterness.

Bill 10 was a Bill for the nation but the UPND Leader, Mr. Hichilema privatized and politicized it for reasons best known to himself. Bally will pay for doing this to Zambians. In 2016 the UPND misled the citizens on the enhanced Bill of Rights. They lied that voting for the Bill of Rights was voting for President Lungu and the PF and they have done exactly the same with Bill 10. They managed to mislead Zambians that the Bill was evil but failed to highlight the “evils” that were in the Bill.

Mr. Hakainde Hichilema had dutch-courage debating the Bill on Social media calling it poisonous but he didn’t allow his MPs to debate it on the floor of the house. He had them locked up at his house and had their phones taken away from them. The Zambian citizens were robbed of a moment of knowing how poisonous the Bill was. The UPND have celebrated the falling of the Bill because they desperately needed something to celebrate about because they have never really had any major victories to celebrate as a political party in their entire existence

Robert Nesta Marley alias Bob Marley’s song titled “time will tell” applies perfectly to the UPND’s Bill 10 falling-off celebrations. The lyrics in-part go like “time will tell oh time will tell, you think you’re in heaven but you living in hell.” Come August 2021 the UPND will realize that they were in hell and not heaven when they will only have 14 days to convince the Courts that the elections were not free and fair after losing futi.

The UPND have won the battle but am more than certain that they will lose the war. They scored an own goal by killing Bill 10. Some clauses would have helped them a lot politically but they opted to use political emotions as opposed to using political maturity hence the Bill dying-off. Time will tell. Vili kwamene tiyenda. The death of Bill 10 will make the UPND pay a hefty price. Politics teyabana iyo, come August next year Hazalila Hagain.

YOU CREATED A MONSTER…Chief Mukuni reminds Kalaba over Lungu presidency

0

PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu should have not been anywhere near being Head of State, says Harry Kalaba.

He said this in response to senior chief Mukuni who said Kalaba helped create a monster in President Lungu.

Kalaba says he did not know the challenges that opposition leaders faced in an effort to mobilise their supporters when he was in government.

He said Zambia was bleeding profusely and needs a major surgery.

Speaking when he paid a courtesy call on Mukuni at Lumpasa Palace, the Democratic Party leader said those that supported President Lungu after the death of Michael Sata made a very big mistake.

“One thing I have discovered Your Royal Highness is that we made a very big mistake, for us who supported President Edgar Lungu…I really regret that something like that happened because clearly Edgar Lungu should not have been President of this country,” Kalaba said. “He should not have been anywhere near power. He does not understand that power should be used for the people. Imagine Your Highness that you being chief here, then your people must stop drinking water. People must be happy.”

At this point Mukuni told his guest that he knows how Kalaba was principal in making Edgar Lungu Head of State.

“You remember I told you that you ‘created a monster’”” Mukuni reminded Kalaba, while stressing that all political parties were welcome to campaign in his chiefdom.

He said last week the PF asked for permission to hold a meeting in the village to which he did not object.

Mukuni said the PF wants Bill 10 so that President Lungu can rule beyond the constitutional mandate of two terms.

“It is not only 2021 but it can be continuous just like in Uganda, [President Yoweri] Museveni ended up saying his parents gave a wrong date of birth when it came to age over the presidential eligibility,” said Mukuni.

And speaking on a special radio programme ‘The 7th Floor’ on Falls FM, Kalaba said he did not know how hard it is to be in the opposition adding that he was against any blocking of the opposition by the government when he was still in the PF.

He noted that political space was shrinking under the PF.

Kalaba said the PF was now abusing the police to harass opposition leaders.

“I used to say that blocking the opposition was just making them popular. I used to say allow the opposition to assemble and talk because that was the only way we would know what they are saying against us and we could work to change that. When we take over power we will ensure that the opposition is given space,” he said.

Kalaba also said the DP had already adopted 50 parliamentary candidates including Gloria Mapani, who is Southern Province DP chairperson, who will contest in Dundumwezi.

“We are serving notice to the PF that you better behave. We are bringing freshness to the country,” he said. “This country is bleeding profusely and needs a serious surgery.”

Kalaba was also the guest of honour at the wedding of Hornest and Florence Bupite Kalumba at St Francis Catholic Church.

Lungu knows he can’t win 2021 – John Sangwa

0

CONSTITUTIONAL lawyer John Sangwa says Bill 10 was conceived with the aim of helping the PF and President Edgar Lungu win the 2021 election.

Sangwa, who was speaking during Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) organised policy conference in Lusaka, said President Lungu was well aware of the possible outcome of next year’s general elections.

He said if indeed it was not meant to win elections, Bill 10 should be postponed to after 2021 polls.

“Somebody comes up and says there are lacunas in the Constitution, [and] I don’t know if they even know what lacunas are. When you argue that there is a lacuna, it means you don’t accept the constitution as the supreme law of the land. You have to accept the constitution as it is not as what you think it ought to be because we can never have consensus on what we think the constitution should be. We have different views,” Sangwa said.

“Here is the real reason behind Bill 10. It is the realisation of how easy it is to lose power. That is the real reason. They realised how much power had been taken from the office of President.”

Sangwa charged that given the debt levels of the country, the PF cannot convince Zambians to vote them in again.

“President Lungu won the 2016 election with 50.3 per cent, translating into 13,000 votes. Would you like to go in the next election…forget your eligibility for a moment, you survive by 13,000 votes, are you going to have a go under the same arrangement? That is why you have this bogus thing about coalition government in Bill 10. Where did that come from in the first place? It’s crazy but this is something you are doing with yourself in mind. This is what Bill 10 is designed to achieve,” he said. “My position is that he is not eligible to stand again but even if hypothetically he was, the bottom line is that he does not clearly see himself…First of all it is impossible for him to get 50.3 per cent which he got and he knows that. You can put up a few fancy roads and everything but with a debt of $20 billion and with your currency down the toilet, how do you explain that?”

Sangwa said those in the government know the mood of the people.

“These things are not conceived in a vacuum, they have read the mood, they know what they are dealing with. This is what Bill 10 is all about. They are doing this with themselves in mind, that is why I have opposed this because the Constitution as we have it is the best constitution we have ever had in this country. In any case, if you are convinced that this has nothing to do with winning elections, why don’t we postpone the debate to after elections?” Sangwa said. “There is a lot of rubbish in Bill 10, not all of it is harmful. There is a lot of nonsense in it but that is just designed to camouflage within their…there are key provisions that are likely to alter the character of the Constitution and that is what needs to be focused on.”

Bill 10 returns to Parliament today despite having been widely rejected by members of the opposition and the civil society who say it is a political tool that the PF wants to use to hang on to power.

Please Pray For Me, I Am Going Through A Lot Right Now, PF Is Letting Me Down – Chilufya Tayali

PLEASE PRAY FOR ME, I AM GOING THROUGH A LOT RIGHT NOW, PF IS LETTING ME DOWN
================
Of course I don’t delude myself into thinking that life on Earth is easy because I have had to suffer for almost everything, but at times I just can’t understand, or I find it difficult to accept certain things, thereby I suffer deep down my heart.

For example I can’t understand how a ruling party with 90 MPs failed to pass a bill when they have 13 Independent with 62 Opposition MPs.

Surely, how can you fail to get 30 MPs among 75 MPs (Independent plus Opposition)?
I don’t accept failure in my life, but BaPF, you have made me fail with you.
Honestly you have no excuse, because you had all this time to win the entire UPND camp to your side, if not, to get half of them.

I have spent the whole night thinking, and one of the questions I asked myself is:
“Suppose I was in Parliament as an opposition, with the current relationship I have with PF, would I have voted with them on Bill 10?”
The answer is “Yes” and “No”,
“Yes” because there a number of good clauses which I would have loved to see go through but “No” because I am not 80% happy or confident with the PF, because they are lukewarm.

It is difficult to be sure with BaPF, because some of them are not even PF or true supporters of President Lungu but they are there, even in State House, because of the paycheck.

I doubt some of those working with President Lungu would pledge confidence and loyalty, like Dickson Jere does to Rupiah Banda, after President Lungu is out of State House.
It’s nice to have a friend who you can relay on, not friends who pick your calls when it suits them.

I am very sure a lot of UPND members would easily side with the PF if only they had given them confidence that they are friends they can trust.
Just think of Given Lubinda for example, who can trust that man, yet he was the one who was supposed to lead the way to make Bill 10 go through.
The leader of Govt business in Parliament must also be ingenious when it comes to pass contentious Bills, but who does the VEEP interact with?
I know Brain Mundubile tried his level best, but I can’t spare him too, because he should have had clear names of who was voting with them among the opposition and secured them.

President Lungu is not in Parliament, but how much did he put pressure on his people starting with the Minister of Justice, Freedom Sikazwe and Chris Zumani Zimba?
From what I know, I doubt if President Lungu trusted Given, but why did he keep him there till the end? He (ECL), has to be blamed as well, because Given raised a red flag, right from the start, yet he was allowed to lead the process.

I can go on on this issue but like I said, I have a lot to think about which I may not have to if PF was more consolidated and coherent, maybe my wife would even be home.
I am honestly very upset, but at least the Christian hypocrisy of saying “Zambia is a Christian Nation” has been thwarted a bit. I hate how you use religion to advance your political agendas.

You should thank God that at times I have to put up with you because I need the crumbs falling off your tables, otherwise I would be your Kambwili number 2.

Pleading with village headmen and indunas at Mwala Hills in Eastern Province to forgive the Patriotic Front government and give it another chance in power last Sunday, Dora Siliya said they are not ready to hand over power to anyone unless in 2026.

She begged them to sensitise the people not to vote Edgar Lungu out next year because it would disadvantage development in Eastern Province, which was in the pipeline.

She told them that if Easterners would not vote in numbers then Edgar Lungu will lose the way Rupiah Banda lost.

She said people in Eastern Province should vote in numbers to overcome Southern Province.

“We shouldn’t relax that Edgar azawina (will win) since he is an Easterner but if we vote lazily, our friends in Southern Province will challenge us and we will be removed in power. Let’s not vote lazily the way we did on Rupiah. We lost him because we are many but few voted and we lost him. Those eight bags of fertiliser we got under Rupiah disappeared because [Michael) Sata ate Cassava which doesn’t require fertiliser and you started calling us Paya Farmer and it’s now under President Edgar Lungu that agriculture has been revamped. These elections of next year are not an easy one. It’s war abale anga (my brothers and sisters)! It’s a war, we should make sure everyone registers as voters and vote on 12th August 2021 or else we will lose. Napapata (please), we go wrong, we in government, but forgive us please! Pray for us, we know we have gone through problems in these five years but let’s not lose this presidency because we still have a lot to do with it in our families, communities. We are not only happy for Edgar to be in State House but to work for us. If this presidency leaves Eastern Province, nobody among us will be alive when it will be back here…Let’s not be lazy. If Edgar Lungu loses next year, good agricultural system will collapse. So we have to put on much effort if Edgar is to win next year because we still have a lot to do. For now, we are not ready to hand over power to anyone unless in 2026 we are going to say ‘now namwe a Tonga mungatoleko ici cinthu but pakali pano usogoleri tikali nao nacocita (you Tongas can as well take over [the reigns] but for now we still have a lot to do with this leadership),” this is the wako ni wako gospel according to St Dora Siliya.

Is this how regionalised or tribalised our politics and elections have become?

Does this explain why our people in Eastern Province never voted for the Patriotic Front when Michael Sata, from Northern Province, was its leader and presidential candidate? The Patriotic Front only started winning in Eastern Province when Sata died and was replaced by Edgar Lungu, who hails from Eastern Province. How can this be explained? Is it part of the wako ni wako doctrine?

If Eastern Province is for Edgar and Southern Province for Hakainde Hichilema where does it leave those from Northern, Muchinga and Luapula provinces? What about those from Western and North Western provinces? What about those from Copperbelt, Central and Lusaka provinces?

This calls for some deep soul searching. Each region or tribe is today effectively being challenged by Dora to find their own presidential candidates if they are to see development. Where will this leave our politics and elections?

From what Dora is saying, why should Northern, Muchinga and Luapula provinces continue voting for Edgar? Why should Western, North Western, Central, Copperbelt and Lusaka provinces continue voting for Edgar or Hakainde, and not their own?

We Made A Mistake To Vote Out RB And Vote For Sata, He Killed Our Eastern Agriculture Because He Ate Cassava – Tribalist Dora Siliya Tells Eastern Province

0

WE MADE A MISTAKE TO VOTE OUT RB AND VOTE FOR SATA, HE KILLED OUR EASTERN AGRICULTURE BECAUSE HE ATE CASSAVA. TRIBALIST DORA SILIYA TELLS EASTERN PROVINCE

By Michael.
29th Oct, 2020.

Its hypocritical for PF today to celebrate the Life of Late Sata because of the people in it now. It’s disgusting to listen to the audio by Hon Dora Siliya addressing a meeting in Sinda saying Sata killed the Eastern agriculture because he was eating cassava.. The hatred Dora has for Sata is supported by the current PF leadership and its shocking to see them parade and mourn late Founder and President. Those are crocodile tears.

Addressing Village Headmen and their subjects in Sinda District, other than being tribal hated on Tonga ethnicity, Dora Siliya says RB gave Eastern fertilizer but eastern chose to remove him from office by voting for Sata who used to eat cassava and neglected Eastern province and concentrated on Bembas. Dora says Eastern Province should learn from the past mistakes it made by voting for Sata when they had their relative a Chewa RB. Just after voting for Sata, Eastern province suffered. She urged Eastern to vote for Edgar Lungu to continue having water and roads and fertilizer. In 2013, we called PF as Paya Farm because Sata was a President. She has accused President Sata of having killed Eastern Province as he stopped given them 8 bags of fertilizer.

On a shocking note other than hatred for Sata, Dora has accused Tongas of mounting to remove ECL from Presidency. She has asked Eastern province never to vote for a Tonga person. *” Lets not give out the presidency to Tongas like we gave out to Bembas in 2011. RB was President for 3 years only because we made a mistake to vote for Sata but God has again blessed Eastern with an Eastern man President Lungu who has been in office for 5years”* Why should we make a mistake again and vote for a Tonga man.

Having MPs and further Ministers like Dora is a curse to the nation. Such people are preoccupied by hatred and Tribalism than development and meeting the needs of the people who voted for them. Go to petauke Central, there is nothing as development which Dora as MP has done. Certainly she can’t say she brought Kalindawalo Hospital. Petauke has no township roads, no water, no order yet she has been MP for over 15 years now.
Dora is the enemy of the true PF. Dora is the enemy of the state. It’s therefore hypocritical for current PF and its leadership to celebrate life of Sata while still housing the people like Dora who hate President Sata with a passion even in his grave.

What kind of *One Zambia One Nation* does President Lungu believe on when majority of his Ministers and other Party leaders always find a way to offer ethnicity hatred against Tongas. Not long ago we saw how Hon Luo, Bizwell Mpundu, Chanda, Christopher Yaluma etc propelled hatred on Tongas. We saw how the Sinda MP in Kasenegwa Elections denounced fellow citizens for Tongas. Where have we gone wrong as a nation.

Who said PF is for Easterners and Bembas only? We see PF parading defectors in Western, North Western, Southen provinces etc joining. Or maybe true PF is for Easterners only.

Michael

Siliya remarks reckless, dangerous…LUNGU, FIRE DORA…unless tribalism is PF policy – Zitukule

ZITUKULE Consortium has asked President Edgar Lungu to fire information minister Dora Siliya for threatening the peace of the country.

Zitukule Consortium executive director Nicholas Phiri said if no action is taken then it will prove that it’s the PF who are on a political agenda of tribalism in the country.

“We condemn in the strongest terms possible remarks attributed to Minister of Information and government chief spokesperson Dora Siliya while addressing people in Eastern Province. Ms Siliya is reported to have said that Tongas have risen against the people of Eastern Province and that Easterners needed to vote for their own or the Bembas would laugh at them if Mr Edgar Lungu lost power in the 2021 general elections. These remarks are reckless, dangerous and mischievous. In view of this, we call upon Dora Siliya to immediately resign from government for threatening the peace and unity of the country,” Phiri said. “If she doesn’t resign, we call upon the Head of State to drop her as Cabinet Minister to demonstrate that he doesn’t condone tribalism. We note with sadness and disgust that Cabinet ministers and some senior PF officials have continued to preach tribal sentiments as a means for canvassing [for votes]. This is not only regrettable, but also absolutely unacceptable.”

He said national leadership should be about individual capabilities and qualities rather than ethic affiliation.

“It is our view that failure by the Head of State to drop Siliya or force her to resign will validate our long held view that tribalism is the official policy of the PF regime and that the declaration of the National Day of Prayer, Fasting, Repentance and Reconciliation is nothing but a political scheme that takes advantage of the Christian heritage of the country,” Phiri said. “We also call on the Ministry of National Guidance and Religious Affairs to prove its relevance by condemning remarks attributed to Siliya in the strongest terms possible.”

On Sunday, information minister, Siliya appealed to traditional leaders to forgive the PF government and give it another chance in power.

The minister, who is Petauke Central PF member of parliament, made the remarks at Mwala Hills in Sinda district.

Siliya was addressing about 300 village headmen and indunas.

She expressed disappointment that in 2016, in Sinda district, President Edgar Lungu got 7,000 votes while UPND’s Hakainde Hichilema got 5,000.

Siliya said Tongas have risen against Easterners in a bid to grab the presidency from them and that this was a war which must not be lost.

She said Tongas must not be allowed to grab the presidency before Eastern Province exhausts the privileges that comes with it. Siliya urged traditional leaders to ensure the UPND was not given any votes in 2021.

Nigel Mwaba murdered Dr. Tasila Tembo after she told him it’s over, she found another responsible man

Crime | Scene: How Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe Police Station In Avondale Reported The Case Of Dr. Tasila Mercy Tembo-Pitters.

Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe (S.M.K) received a case of ABDUCTION in which F/Carol Phiri aged 47 of Hse No. 16 Avondale reported to the Police on 24/10/20 at around 16:00hrs the case of abduction in which her friend and sister Dr. Tasila Tembo of Plot 1732 Meanwood, Ibex aged 47 who works for an NGO EQUIP (Z) in Kasama is alleged to have been abducted by the bo friend Lt. Nigel Mwaba aged 33 of the same address.

The two have been cohabiting for 3 years now and about 2 weeks ago Dr. Tembo phoned the boyfriend that she was ending the relationship but this didn’t go well with the gentleman who later travelled to Kasama on 16.10.20 to try and reconcile with the lady and they travelled back to Lusaka on 19.10.20 where the lady was to inform her relatives about the decission to end the relationship. However, on 23.10.20 at around 21hrs, Lt. Mwaba who had gone out arrived home and at 00:00hrs, on 24.10.20 he lied to the girlfriend that he wanted to go and pick up his car which was left at Total service station on Ibex main street and asked the lady to escort him using her m/v, an Isuzu KB250 double cab reg BAG 1966 grey in colour.

Due to the rift that was there between the two, the lady asked her young brother M/Lonjezo Tembo aged 30 to accompany them. When they reached Total service station, Lt. Mwaba asked the brother in-law to go and buy some beers and bread from the shop but when he came back he found that they had left and immediately their phones were switched off and have been off since then.

M/Lonjezo Tembo the young brother to Dr. Tembo informed the relatives of what had happened and they later reported the matter to the Police at S.M.K. Officers were quickly tasked to go to Arrackan barracks where Major Kainda confirmed that Lt. Nigel Mwaba is his surbodinate and he works as a legal officer.

From the foregoing we now suspect that the suspect Lt. Mwaba could have abducted Dr. Tembo and the fear is that he might murder her and commit suicide. Preliminary investigations conducted so far reveal that the gentleman is notoriously violent as his first marriage ended in the same way where he beat up his wife badly and locked her in the house and she was only discovered by the neighbours who took her to the hospital.

Further investigations conducted at airtel reveal through the print out that he has been to Mazabuka and Nampundwe. Investigations have also been conducted at Action Auto where the m/v was purchased from since it has a mobile tracker to find out where the vehicle could be and we have been told that the tracker was installed by another company but that they will find the name of the company and inform us later.

Furthermore, RDA has been written to, to search their Toll Gates to show where he might have headed. Furthermore, a message of wanted m/v has been sent to all stations to impound the said vehicle and the occupant.

Change is inevitable, there’s no need to fear it -Fred M’membe

By Fred M’membe

Information and broadcasting services minister Dora Siliya says they are not ready to hand over power to anyone in 2021.

“We shouldn’t relax that Edgar azawina since he is an Easterner but if we vote lazily, our friends in Southern Province will challenge us and we will be removed in power. Let’s not vote lazily the way we did on Rupiah. We lost him because we are many but few voted and we lost him.

So we have to put on much effort if Edgar is to win next year because we still have a lot to do. For now, we are not ready to hand over power to anyone unless in 2026 we are going to say ‘now namwe a Tonga mungatoleko ici cinthu but pakali pano usogoleri tikali nao nacocita,” Minister Siliya pleaded with over 300 village headmen and indunas from Eastern Province last Sunday.

This fear of losing power, of change is widespread among our colleagues in the current government and the ruling party. And it has been openly expressed by many, including the President himself. It has actually become a phobia.

Philosophizing a little on this issue, I would say we have no alternative to meeting the future, we have no hope but the changes, advances, and improvements that the future may bring. Even if our current leaders want to stay in power forever, they won’t be able to do so. Nobody controls the future. No matter what schemes they may pull, other times will come.

The fear of change or changing things is called Metathesiophobia. It is often linked with Tropophobia which is the fear of moving. The origin of the word Metathesiophobia comes from Greek ‘meta’ meaning change and Phobos meaning fear.

Metathesiophobes often tend to live in the past and may also be depressed. Their phobia makes them unwilling to move, to progress, or to change anything. This can severely impact one’s work and personal lives.

The fear of change is evolutionary in humans. Since times immemorial, man has liked routine. Our internal predispositions – heredity and genetics – teach us to resist change mainly to ‘always feel in control’. But the normal fear of change becomes a full-blown phobia when it is irrational, persistent and very intense.

Fear of being unable to adapt can also deter one’s adaptability. Insecurity and guilt are other common emotions behind Metathesiophobia.
Benjamin Franklin once said, “When you are finished changing, you are finished.”

The fear of change is a natural survival instinct ingrained in humans. However, in cases of extreme Metathesiophobia, life can become very difficult. It can negatively impact one’s work and/or personal lives.

Thought of change or adapting to a new environment may lead to a full-blown panic. Avoiding change, one may go to great lengths, break ties, tell lies, or make excuses, manipulate electoral processes, rig elections, commit human rights violations. This can affect many things and lead to irrationality. Often the phobic is aware that his/her fear of change is irrational. However, he/she is unable to overcome it.

The root of Metathesiophobia is deeply embedded in one’s psyche.

Many people suffer from this phobia but the key is to accept change as part of life. Nothing lasts forever. Change is inevitable, there’s no need to fear it. We must always prepare for it and be ready to embrace it.

Bill 10 is a rescue mechanism – Sichinga

0

OCIDA spokesperson Robert Sichinga says Zambia is debt-ridden today because those that were borrowing did so as an avenue for stealing.

Sichinga was commerce minister under Michael Sata’s government.

He says Our Civic Duty Association (OCIDA) has been working towards hatching a united civil society voice.

He explained that Zambia accumulated the current suffocating debt not by accident.

“It was known!” Sichinga, an accountant by profession, said as a side speaker, at a civil society organisations media briefing in Lusaka on Monday. “Those that were borrowing knew very well but it was an avenue for stealing. I can say this without any fear of anybody challenging me.”

He cited highlights in the Auditor General’s report and in the Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC) report, saying he drew his commentary authority from such documents.

“They are replete with issues of mismanagement of resources. These are government agency reports,” he noted. “We [also] have prosecutions that have gone to court and you know right from the word go that although theft has taken place, these will come out as a nolle, for obvious reasons.”

Sichinga explained that if there was any seriousness on the part of the government, “we would have gotten to the bottom of this [financial imprudence].”

“But the government itself, our leaders, are in the forefront, right from the Head of State…We were told that we are going to institute austerity measures…” Sichinga said.

He emphasised that the issue of borrowing was: “a convenient vehicle to stack money through projects.”

“Simple! You don’t even have to go very far; audit any road project. I can challenge you – you’ll see what I’m talking about. A third of any cost on a project goes to corruption, in one form or the other,” Sichinga said. “So, where we are supposed to do three kilometres of a road, we only do two kilometres. Where we are supposed to buy several fire tenders we are buying them at a million dollars…I was in charge of austerity measures in ZCCM for the 10 years I worked for ZCCM.”

He argued that he knows exactly what an austerity measure entails.

“You cannot say ‘I’m Head of State, I can do as I like. I can go and buy a plane,’ in the meantime local government workers have not been paid,’ Sichinga noted.

He added that Zambia had another challenge on the governance side.

“It’s important [that] we raise these issues. Bill 10 is a rescue mechanism. Anyone who has spent time to read Bill 10 will tell you this,” he said, further cautioning against the enactment of the contentious Bill 10.

Meanwhile, Sichinga indicated that the country got to where it is today, “whether you are talking about economics, whether you are talking about corruption, whether you are talking about no political space, or the violence,” because of a frail political leadership.

“All these are as a result of a poor political state,” said Sichinga. “As OCIDA we have been working on these particular issues, in terms of pulling together several organisations. We have reached out, since our formation in February [this year] to make sure that together we can [be] able to push forward the issue of where we should be as a country.”

Lungu erroneously used a wrong article to dismiss Nchito as DPP – ConCourt

0

THE Constitutional Court says President Edgar Lungu used a wrong article of the Constitution to dismiss the then Director of Public Prosecutions Mutembo Nchito for alleged professional misconduct.

Judge Palan Mulonda, on behalf of justices Mungeni Mulenga, Enock Mulembe, Margaret Munalula and Martin Musaluke, however, said President Lungu was right when he relieved Nchito of his duties and his decision could not be declared unconstitutional.

Justice Mulonda also said Nchito was entitled to the report of the tribunal that recommended his removal but that it was not the President’s obligation to do so but the committee of the tribunal.

In this matter, Nchito petitioned the Constitutional Court over his removal from office as DPP for alleged professional misconduct, saying it was illegal and ought to be declared null and void.

Nchito sought reliefs on whether he was entitled to the tribunal report and whether he could be removed from office using Article 144 of Act number 2 of 2016.

In his final submissions, Nchito contended that President Lungu’s action to dismiss him from employment pursuant to Article 144 of the Constitution was unconstitutional, null and void because he was not subjected to appear before the Judicial Complaints Commission.

He contended that he was denied access to the report of his tribunal, wondering why he could not be afforded an opportunity to challenge the findings.

Nchito said it was an anomaly for the President to rely on the repealed Article 58 of the Constitution of Zambia 1991 as it was repealed and an inapplicable law.

In reply, the state submitted that the President correctly removed Nchito from the office of DPP.

Attorney General Likando Kalaluka argued that Nchito was correctly removed from office under Article 58 of the Constitution as the tribunal continued to sit in line with section 10 of the Constitution of Zambia Act No.1 of 2016.

He said the President under Article 58(4) of the Constitution had no discretion with regard to the recommendations of the tribunal, but to relieve Nchito of his position as DPP.

Kalaluka argued that there was no legal basis for Nchito to be shown the findings of the tribunal or any legal basis that placed a duty on the President to furnish a copy of the report to him.

But in its judgment, the Constitutional Court said despite a new mechanism being in place under the new constitutional order, the repealed Article 58 applied to the ad hoc tribunal as though Article 144 was not in existence.

“Article 144 of the Constitution as amended within the context of this case is a wrong provision to anchor the decision of dismissal in this case. The reference to Article 144 of the Constitution as amended was misplaced, though the power exercised was covered by the repealed Article 58 of the Constitution of Zambia 1991,” judge Mulonda said. “The President’s action cannot be said to be unconstitutional, illegal or null and void as alleged by the petitioner.”

He said according to article 58(3)(b), the President being the recipient of the tribunal report was under no obligation to avail a copy of the same to the affected secured officer.

” If the framers of the Constitution had in mind the situation before us, they would have provided the outcome of investigations to the concerned office holder. This would enable the office holder to know the basis upon which recommendation is made and to take an appropriate action. This is what natural justice demands,” judge Mulonda said. “In conclusion, we wish to state that the President acted constitutionally when he relieved the petitioner of his duties as DPP despite the fact that the letter of dismissal erroneously referred to Article 144 of Act no. 2 of 2016 and not the repealed Article 58 of the Constitution of Zambia 1991.”

Judge Mulonda further directed that holders of Constitutional offices such as Nchito must be given a reason for their disappointment.

GRZ under capture by ruling parties since 1973 – Kawimbe

0

BONIFACE Kawimbe (r) says those who are afraid of regime change should join the civil service and become a government driver, for instance.

He says the Government of the Republic of Zambia has been under capture since 1973 by the ruling parties.

Dr Kawimbe, a medical doctor, is a former health minister in the MMD government.

During a civil society organisations (CSOs) media briefing in Lusaka on Monday, Dr Kawimbe was given chance to briefly speak.

He said one of the challenges Zambia had was that her people deal with symptoms of a problem.

“In my profession, if you have a headache, we are not interested in giving you aspirin or Panado, because that headache will lead to malaria, that headache may bring meningitis…One of the challenges is sometimes we don’t know where our problems have come from,” Dr Kawimbe said.

“In 1973 the government of the day introduced a clause in the Constitution of the Republic of Zambia to say from today onwards the [ruling] party will be supreme to the Government of Republic of Zambia. The one party state basically said from today onwards, this institution which we call the Government of the Republic of Zambia is now going to become a property of a political party.”

He added that: “since 1973 this institution into which we pay our taxes all of us is a property of the ruling party.”

“Since 1973 we have had capture of the Government of the Republic of Zambia by the ruling parties. This was not a problem of UNIP alone; it was a problem of MMD [and] it is a problem of PF today. That is the root cause,” Dr Kawimbe said. “And we don’t discuss this capture of this institution called the Government of the Republic of Zambia by the ruling parties.”

He disclaimed some people’s inclination to think that those who criticised government policies were pushing for regime change.

“When you talk about ‘if we make this statement it will be misunderstood that we are attacking government, we are promoting regime change’, there is something that never changes, which is the Government of the Republic of Zambia. It has never changed!” Dr Kawimbe argued. “It was there under UNIP, it was there under MMD, it’s here under PF and it will be there long after PF is gone. When we are talking, we are talking to our government – the Government of the Republic of Zambia.”

He stressed that those who were speaking against the regime: “are not talking to Patriotic Front.”

“We are addressing ourselves to the Government of the Republic of Zambia. Otherwise we’ll be talking to the secretary general of PF. We are talking to His Excellency Chagwa Lungu, not as president of PF. No!” he explained.

“[But] we are talking to him as head of the Government of the Republic of Zambia. When we talk to our Honourable ministers, we are talking to them as representatives of the Government of the Republic of Zambia.”

Dr Kawimbe advised that: “if anybody doesn’t want change, you should become a civil servant, because when you join the civil service, you’ll not be changed.”

“There will be no personal regime change. If you are a government driver, you’ll remain a government driver until you retire. If, on the other hand, you are a politician, change is inherent – it’s like death,” said Dr Kawimbe. “So, we have a challenge of this phenomenon – the capture of the Government of the Republic of Zambia by ruling parties. It’s an issue we must be discussing.”

“WILL ENSURE THAT UPND VOTES CONTINUE REDUCING”- DAVIS MWILA

“WILL ENSURE THAT UPND VOTES CONTINUE REDUCING”- DAVIS MWILA,PF SG (NEWS DIGGERS NEWSPAPER)

Patriotic Front (PF) Secretary General Mr. Davis Mwila has told the whole world how PF are determined to ensure that they reduce UPND votes ahead of the 2021 general elections.

What the SG has revealed is the truth. Actually it is easy to see how PF is implementing this scheme. The PF are actually working on reducing UPND votes in UPND stronghold areas and not in PF stronghold areas. I mean do you expect PF to target to capture 2 million voters in Southern Province and only 1million voters in Muchinga province, for example? The PF would rather do it the other way by any means, including issuing multiple NRCs and Voter’s Cards to one individual and come up with a fake statistic of 2 million voters in each PF stronghold provinces.

There is a possibility of PF issuing multiple voters cards to individuals using different names and NRC numbers to one voter in their strongholds, as recently discovered by Mubita Nawa and Anthony Bwalya of the UPND, just to win the 2021 Polls. PF are a danger to Zambia’s peaceful existence because what they are doing can ignite a civil war out of the 2021 polls, especially that ECZ have surrendered their powers and delegated duties to the PF party.

The PF, having hijacked state institutions and the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ), are now in control of the electoral process ahead of the 2021 general elections and are doing everything to win the 2021 general elections before the ballot is cast.

How have they planned to do this?

1.by deliberately providing less NRC materials in UPND stronghold areas so that less numbers of people obtain NRCs.

2. Similarly, they will deliberately provide less Voter’s Cards materials in UPND stronghold areas so that very few people obtain voter’s cards compared to PF stronghold areas.

3. On top of the deliberate act of providing less NRC and Voter’s Cards materials in UPND stronghold areas, the old tactic of machine breakdowns, lack of fuel for the power generators will continue to be used.

In my article on how rigging is done, I talked about this tactic where the ruling party deliberate cut voter numbers in opposition stronghold areas by registering less than the previously known numbers. For example, at a Poling Station that had 1000 voters in 2016, the PF will only issue 500 voter’s cards there and shift to the next point and this will be repeated throughout in opposition stronghold areas. At the end if the voter issuance exercise, voter number statistics per province will be shocking to many UPND supporters and hopers, because Eastern, Muchinga, Northern and Luapula provinces combined are likely to provide half the country’s total number of registered voters, and out of the other half, Lusaka & Copperbelt will provide 50% of it, leaving the rest with the remaining quarter of the total registered voters and with that kind of statistics PF will be toasting the 2021 victory before a single vote is cast.

So what should UPND do? The only way to tackle this is to mobilize resources to transport our people to any point where they can obtain voter’s cards. If it means crossing provinces then let’s do that. This is because PF will not provide enough materials to capture 2 million voters in Western province for example since they know that doing so will be arming UPND against themselves ahead of the 2021 poll.

HOW EVIL AND POISONOUS PF BILL 10 IS TO OUR DEMOCRACY?

0

HOW EVIL AND POISONOUS PF BILL 10 IS TO OUR DEMOCRACY?

Its with a deep sense of patriotic regret that we continue to see successive governments tempering with the Constitution in a desperate effort to perpetuate their hold on power. The Constitution should have been commanding public reverence and sanctity.

In the recent past we have seen legislative commandeering by the Executive to create clauses that are targeting opposition threats or supporting perpetuity of the incumbent. We are all still fresh from the hangover of the third term and even recent maneuvers to bar Michael Sata on the degree clause. Why should the legislature be lowered to such treasonous levels just for the sake of one individual?

Instead of addressing retrogressive laws that continue to defraud our economy such our mineral regimes, tactical tax evasion and the disproportionate distribution of development, the entire Parliament is now engulfed in a partisan Constitutional amendment process that gobbles monstrous expense in the desperate effort to impose it on the Zambian People.

Who Bewitched Zambia to operate in this manner? Herein, is where we needed these self proclaimed in the person of Prophets, Papas, Men of God to deploy their exorcism to save Zambia. But, sad that the church itself has rebels standing in complicity with the PF.

Bill 10 is part of Executive Order 2021, a covert operation aimed at delivering a 2021 Victory for PF and Edgar Chagwa Lungu. Beyond the apparent institutional capture and breakdown in the rule of law, the PF now wants to crown their mortal failure through the enactment of Bill 10 using crooked means. Technically, Edgar Lungu is legally out of the race in 2021.

The desperate drive to pass Bill 10 is aimed at creating legal leverage to circumvent the Constitutional interpretations by invoking executive prowess to change the law.

Additionally, Bill 10 will avert the need of a rerun by co option with surrogate parties like those “bamushanina bwali”. Furthermore, Bill 10 will allow the legal elimination of political opponents through a superiority clause that would purge intra party compliance to democratic tenets such as conventions.

BILL 10 has no precedence in both procedural and executive influence. Never before have we seen the massive sponsorship of surrogate youth movements, make shift church groups and abuse of Persons with Disabilities in the quest to garner public sympathy.

Billboards have been mounted to condition public psyche. Why and What for? We all know for a fact that key stakeholder engagement was discarded and replaced by the PF doctored NDF. In all previous National level consultative engagement, the church mother bodies have been recognized as Strategic stakeholder given their following and authoritative stand in society. As soon as it became apparent that they would not rubber stamp Edgar Chagwa Lungu and PF criminal agenda through BILL 10, they were unceremoniously replaced.

Christians for Lungu took over. Lungu has openly discredited the church mother bodies as not having the exclusive monopoly of ecclesiastical authority. His ministers like Given Lubinda and Nkandu Luo openly humiliated their Catholic faith through running commentaries on what they described as meddling in Political affairs.

How does such a diabolical document become a solely political matter when it proposes to create a one party state in essence? The same document proposes to create an environment of unrestrained debt contraction by giving exclusive rights to the President against the background of a debt mountain even under parliamentary oversight.

The same Bill 10 proposes to unilaterally manipulate parliamentary constituency in order to give undue leverage to the PF. A closer and patriotic review of the entire BILL 10 will clearly show that the Patriotic Front government and Edgar Lungu are a heartless and treasonous lot who should be jailed for perjury. They swore allegiance to the Zambian Constitution that they have now u-turned to destroy.

Their determination to pass this Bill 10 is scaringly suicidal. They are ready to die or kill just to see this Bill 10 passed. Should Zambians sitback under docility even when their very life is being wrenched? We need to rise up against this betrayal by the people who should have been building the nation they are now destroying. Posterity will not forgive us for not standing for the right. BILL 10 IS THE PF POISON IN THE PUDDING.Let’s counter it with the same spirit that defeated one party state and the third term bid.

The Opposition Question. When Opposers Switch Sides

0

THE OPPOSITION QUESTION. WHEN OPPOSERS SWITCH SIDES

The opposition plays a very key role in any democratic dispensation by offering critical policy checks and offering alternatives. They provide timely warnings and prod the government whenever there is a diversion from the acceptable governance norms and principles.

Its in times like now that the value of the opposition should be appreciated especially in Zambia. Just imagine what would have happened if there was no robust opposition in Zambia today?

*Forest 27 would be gone by now.
*Tasila would have gotten the whole forest to herself in eastern Province.
*Mukula would be extinct by now through ECL and his PF ANNOINTED.
*Firetenders, Ambulances would not have been exposed.
*The Gold mine sold at a paltry $2.5 m.
* Gold brutally stolen from the poor people of North Western Province by PF using state institutions like the Police.

The opposition offers Policy options for national growth. Its for this reason that civilised democracies fund and promote the opposition. The opposition is accorded Constitutional recognition and respect by all tax supported institutions.

A government that shifts focus to destroy the opposition should be flushed down the drain. The opposition is the oxygen of democracy. Its for this reason that all Patriotic Zambians should rise up and condemn the PF instituted agenda to hound out the opposition using state institutions. Its unacceptable for the PF ANNOINTED under Edgar Chagwa Lungu to override all state institutions in their bid to consolidate their failure to govern.

Instead of focusing on stabilizing the Kwacha which is in a free fall, the GDP in negative and addressing the Energy crisis, they are busy trying to kill and destroy the opposition.
They would like to take the route of the Biblical prodigal son to indulge in debauchery using what little remains of the national resources. They want to have unbridled borrowing and corruption.

Its is for this reason that the staged comedy led by Edith Nawakwi and now joined by Dan Pule and others can not pass without comment. Edgar Chagwa Lungu and his charlatans have tried all stunts to deceive Zambians but to no avail. We have seen how they had to fish Edith Nawakwi out of Political oblivion to come and sing the Privatization monologue which the Zambians rejected even before it was started.

Eventually, poor Edith Nawakwi had to be redeployed on a lone smear fishing expedition in HH’s properties with the agenda of inciting mutiny and possibly find a grain of incriminating evidence to charge HH with treason. She travelled all the way up to Livingstone and came back crestfallen.
Currently, the they are dangling BILL 10 and lining up nonentities as back up vocalists in their diabolical push for Bill 10.

They call them opposition leaders! What? These are men and a woman who can not even win a position in a ward committee. Men like Dan Pule who have failed to even run a church branch are lined up as opposition leaders supporting Bill 10.

Zambians, let’s be serious for once. No wonder someone said hunger has no sense. “Sebana wi kute”. The sebana wikute stunt is just the last spasms of a failed Political campaign.
The determined ploy to destroy the opposition has lamentably failed. The deployment of the police to distract the opposition is building public solidarity.

Zambians are fed up.PF wants to destroy Democracy by destroying the opposition. Those they can’t buy, they will imprison or kill. When Opposition members stop opposing they become defectors and cadres. PF has just gotten new cadres.
