PF DEPUTY NATIONAL CHAIR CALLS ON POLICE TO IMMEDIATELY RESPOND TO A POSSIBLE UPND POLITICAL BRUTALITY ON WOMEN IN PF REGALIA

It breaks my heart to listen to an audio where some men clad in UPND attire are threatening to beat anyone wearing a PF regalia.
This makes sad reading friends and should never be tolerated.
Zambia is a constitutional democracy and we have enough laws to curb such vices in this country.
In case we all have forgotten, we all have fundamental human rights such as freedom of choice.
This country already has history of losing lives through political brutality. I am highly afraid for the women of Zambia especially that they are vulnerable when it comes to politically motivated violence.
Women will not manage to run or defend themselves, protect them now before it’s too late by holding all those in the video accountable.
You know some may not wear the of regalia because they are PF no, they may wear because it’s clothes and that’s the easiest they can access what to wear under the high cost of living predicament.
So to say anyone who wears PF regalia will be beaten may cause unnecessary injury on our poor women or any other citizen who can’t afford to buy a dress in a shop and consider it a privilege to have received a free attire from somebody.
I therefore want to appeal to Zambia Police to protect the citizens who are already suffering because of the high cost of living.
Protect citizens ladies and gentlemen. You have a duty to protect the peace of this country.
I wish to also appeal to our President His Excellency Mr. Hakainde to ensure that his cadres are tamed so that they don’t become a danger to this country.
Zambia has always been a hub of peace and peace and unity is always good for a country as it enhances development.
When people have free minds, they will become more productive. Let us have a productive nation than a destructive country. Our fore Fathers fought for freedom, why do we want to lose it now.
