PROMINENT CLERGYMAN REV MWAMBAZI BACKS JERE FOR LUSAKA CENTRAL

Prominent clergyman Rev. Walter Mwambazi has declared his support for lawyer Dickson Dingani Jere in the forthcoming Lusaka Central Parliamentary election.

He stressed that his endorsement is entirely voluntary and not influenced by money or political allegiance.

Rev. Mwambazi explained that elections provide citizens with the rare opportunity to select leaders whose competence, integrity and lived experience can uplift the nation.

He believes Jere embodies these qualities, pointing to his humble upbringing in Matero and Northmead, his education in public schools, and his distinguished career in journalism, law, governance and international arbitration.

He observed that Jere’s journey is one of determination and discipline rather than privilege, and that his professional record demonstrates both breadth and depth.

“From serving as a journalist with international outlets to practising law at the highest levels, from advising global institutions to working as Special Assistant to President Rupiah Banda, Jere’s experience is both tested and proven,” he said.

Rev. Mwambazi emphasised that Lusaka Central, as the symbolic heart of Zambia, requires a representative who can navigate complex policy issues, engage international partners and advocate for development with credibility.

He stated that his endorsement is not based on party lines but on Jere’s capability, integrity and service.

“If Lusaka Central desires a representative who understands its heartbeat, honours its history and is prepared to champion its future with skill and dignity, then Dickson Jere is a candidate worth serious consideration,” Rev. Mwambazi declared.
