11 polling station results stolen in Makeni Constituency
STAKEHOLDERS in Makeni Constituency are assisting polling officials to establish the extent of missing election results following an attack in which unidentified people allegedly stole results from several polling stations.
The incident is reported to have occurred around 20:00 hours last night, disrupting the collation of results in the constituency.
According to the Makeni Constituency Returning Officer, presidential results from 92 of the constituency’s 103 polling stations have so far been tabulated, leaving results from 11 polling stations unaccounted for.
Electoral stakeholders are now working with polling officials to determine which results are missing and establish the way forward.
Stakeholders have since condemned the incident, raising concern over its potential impact on the integrity and completion of the results collation process.

I don’t understand why these sensitive documents of national importance are not properly protected.
How can unauthorized individuals easily have access to such areas. This is carelessness in securing sensitive documents. Very disappointing.
