2026 WAFCON: What the Super Falcons Earn After Egypt Victory

Nigeria’s Super Falcons have received a $60,000 goal bonus after their commanding 6-2 victory over Egypt at the ongoing 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco on Wednesday.

According to a report by Daily Post, the incentive followed a promise made by the National Sports Commission (NSC) ahead of the team’s opening match against Malawi, with the players assured of $5,000 for every goal scored during the tournament.

Following the impressive win over Egypt, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President Shehu Gusau informed the squad that the NSC had approved an increase in the goal bonus to $10,000 per goal.

The enhanced reward is intended to motivate the team as they prepare for a crucial quarter-final encounter against Cameroon.

The Super Falcons will face the Indomitable Lionesses in Casablanca on Sunday, with a place in the semi-finals at stake.

The winner of the fixture will also secure qualification for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
