Nine demand recognition as Mpezeni’s children
AT LEAST nine children claiming to be sons and daughters of the late Paramount Chief Mpezeni have written to the Royal Family, demanding to be included as beneficiaries of the late traditional leader’s estate
TV Yatu learns through News Diggers that, the children have, through their lawyers, demanded recognition as lawful beneficiaries of the late traditional leader’s estate and participation in the process of appointing its administrators.
The nine children demanding recognition are Miriam Jere, Phakey Jere, Kopyan Jere, David Jere, Mogota Jere, Justina Jere, Monga Jere, Nandi Jere and Lemmy Jere, reports News Diggers.
During the funeral, it was widely said that the late Mphezeni was survived by a daughter, Justina Jere.
Mupezeni IV died on May 30, this year and was laid to rest on June 9, 2026.
