BREAKING: Senior Iranian Military Adviser Says Strait of Hormuz Is More Powerful Than ‘Dozens of Nuclear Bombs’
A senior military adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader, General Mohsen Rezaei, has declared that the Strait of Hormuz is one of Tehran’s most important strategic assets, describing it as more valuable than “dozens of nuclear bombs” and reaffirming Iran’s commitment to maintaining control over the vital waterway.
Speaking on Iranian state television, Rezaei said:
> “The Strait of Hormuz is more important than dozens of nuclear bombs. Iran will continue to protect this strategic passage.”
He emphasized that the narrow maritime corridor, through which a significant portion of the world’s oil and liquefied natural gas exports pass, serves as a powerful strategic tool for deterring adversaries.
“The Strait of Hormuz is a strategic instrument used to intimidate and restrain our enemies. Our security, sovereignty, and national interests are of the highest importance,” Rezaei stated.
The senior adviser also issued a strong warning directed at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. President Donald Trump, accusing both leaders of crossing Iran’s “red lines.”
“Netanyahu and Trump have crossed our red lines, and they must receive an appropriate response,” he said.
Rezaei’s remarks come amid heightened regional tensions and continued concerns over security in the Strait of Hormuz, a waterway that remains critical to global energy supplies. His comments are likely to fuel further speculation over Iran’s future posture in the Gulf and its response to recent developments involving the United States and Israel.
