MUNDUBILE CANCELS SOUTHERN PROVINCE RALLY OVER SECURITY ALERT, OPTS FOR VIRTUAL RALLY

NRPUP presidential candidate Brian Mundubile and his running mate Makebi Zulu were scheduled to travel to Southern Province on Sunday for campaign activities but cancelled the trip at the last minute following a reported security alert.

Well placed sources have told Kachepa360 that the campaign team received intelligence about an alleged planned attack and assassination targeting Mundubile and his running mate Makebi Zulu.

Instead of travelling to Southern Province, the two are expected to remain in Lusaka and hold a virtual rally to address supporters in the province.

Southern Province is the final province on the NRPUP presidential campaign programme after the party’s campaign team toured the country.

The decision comes after disruptions involving the NRPUP campaign in North-Western and Western provinces which are regarded as strongholds of President Hakainde Hichilema.
