While the world underestimates Africa, one young Nigerian just proved them wrong.
At 25, Jerry Mallo built the Bennie Purrie Nigeria’s first carbon-fiber sports car through his company Bennie Technologies in Jos.
Before that, he’d already fabricated Nigeria’s first locally built tractor, showing this wasn’t luck, it was engineering discipline.
Nigeria, the Giant of Africa, has the population, the talent, and now the proof that local manufacturing is possible without waiting on foreign investment or imported technology.
The question isn’t whether Africans can build Mallo already answered that.
The real question is why more governments aren’t funding young engineers like him at scale.
Talent isn’t Nigeria’s problem.
Investment and infrastructure are. Fix that, and the Giant of Africa stops sleeping.
