A GLOWING TRIBUTE: Mama, You’re Beautiful… Daughter, You’re Fearfully & Wonderfully Made My Bloodline – Gary Nkombo
Former minister Gary Nkombo has sprung to the defence of his mother praising her beauty and describing a striking resemblance that exist between him, her and his daughter.
Nkombo, in the proverbial mama’s boy, says his mother, his daughter just like himself were fearfully and wonderfully made in the eyes of God.
This comes a few days after President Hichilema abused Nkombo and his mother at a campaign rally in Mazabuka.
“Elections should be about changing people’s lives for the better, not tearing down one another over how God chose to make us,” he posted on social media.
NKOMBO WRITES
Three faces. One family. The same eyes.
Above me is my mother, who bore me and raised me to walk tall. Below me is my child, who carries the very same gift. And in the middle stands me, honoured to sit between them.
Some have made sport of the way my eyes are set. I heard it. I smiled. Because when I look at my mother and I look at my child, I do not see a flaw. I see a bloodline. I see the hand of God, who shaped each of us on purpose and left His fingerprints on our faces.
Scripture says we are fearfully and wonderfully made, and I believe it with my whole heart. God made no mistake when He formed my mother. He made no mistake when He formed me. And He made no mistake when He formed my child.
So hear me, Mama. You are beautiful. Hear me, my only daughter. You are beautiful. Every feature you carry was given by the God who calls His work good.
Elections should be about changing people’s lives for the better, not tearing down one another over how God chose to make us.
Let people say what they wish. We were made in the image of God, and no voice on earth can bring down what Heaven has already lifted up.
